I actually want more films with movie stars buried in age prosthetics doing goofy southern accents telegraphing that this film is a BIG SWING BROAD SATIRE ON AMERICAN HUBRIS AND DECADENCE. I think it’s fun.

@SatireRedacted This being said, my body still puts out heat like it thinks I'm living underground in a cave, courtesy of my Neanderthal ancestors, which is frequently unpleasant.

Deliberately spending hours in the sun tanning the body, hot, supine and sweating and defying the skin cancer gods, is so foreign to my own dispositions and cultural understanding it might as well be the pastime of an extraterrestrial civilization. Fuck summertime.

I didn’t realize I signed up for a Christian unlimited car wash service (they’re closed on Sundays—the day my vehicle is the filthiest!).

@SatireRedacted Sure…? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Not sure how that’s particularly Protestant, but it certainly incl Protestants—how eyes find what they want and words linger.

@SatireRedacted As I said, I believe you. But hot, supine, sweating bodies-that-are-not-yours came from somewhere & gawking doesn’t require presence. It’s where your eyes look & linger that gives it away; it’s what adjectives one chooses, even the sense of bitter mockery. Gawking is big.

I think even joking about infernalism (“my enemies are now burning in hell”) is unbecoming of the left. I don’t lament the death of many politicians, but I doubt any extraworldly “justice” is delivered on to them in death.
