“Matt Damon once told me Cillian Murphy is the worst dinner companion imaginable”. Jimmy Kimmel recounts a past interview of Cillian Murphy where the host told him Matt Damon said to him sometime back that “Cillian is the worst diner companion imaginable”…… his reaction at the end is pure gold. 😅

"No women, no children" 🥵 Matt Damon recalled that attending a Boca Juniors match in Argentina with his wife’s family was the craziest sporting event of his life, featuring a serious warning of "no women, no children", multiple lines of riot police, and empty prime seats kept clear to prevent fans from throwing objects at each other. Jimmy Fallon: Have you ever been to a match? Matt Damon: “I've been to a match in Argentina.” Jimmy Fallon: “You have been?” Matt Damon: “Yeah, years ago, which wasn't a World Cup match. It was just a regular league game in Argentina and it's still one of the craziest things I ever saw in my life.” Jimmy Fallon: “Like, exciting?” Matt Damon: “No, like we were visiting, we were visiting her family down there, and I said, and the team that they support is called Boca Juniors, and they were in the final, and I said, "Oh, you know, could we go to the game?" Jimmy Fallon: “Yeah.” Matt Damon: “And you know, her uncle looked at me and said in Spanish—he looked, he got very serious—and then he said, "No women, no children." Jimmy Fallon: “Really?” Matt Damon: “And I was like, "What?" Uh, okay. And then I realized when I got there, like, you had to go through three lines of riot police, and it was just absolutely, like, they take the game very seriously down there.” Jimmy Fallon: “Really?” Matt Damon: “Yeah. And the stadium, when we got in there, the best seats in the house—like what would be like the 50-yard line in our football fields—were empty. And it was empty from like the 50 all the way to the 10 on each side. And I realized—and so everyone was sitting kind of basically in the end zones.” Who do you think Boca Juniors were playing against? 👀 River plate ? 🥴 FT: @jimmyfallon and Matt Damon.

I wasn’t present’ — his excuse for hiding $75k in debt from his wife Caller: "yeah I'm not present because I'm totally in my own head trying to figure out how I'm going to get out of this dead gum mess so um that that could be very possible so how much debt have you got Hunt um not counting the house um I mean the cars 14,000 and then um got about 13 on an HVAC loan and then uh 19,000 on one credit card 1300 on another credit card and 4,000 on another credit card." Dave Ramsey: "okay were you guys using and that's all your debt you and your wife other than your home um and then Yeah and then a fourth credit card at 4,000 sorry okay all right well it's about 70 i mean you're you're close to 75,000 in consumer debt was the credit card spending I'm just curious because there's multiple with you know relatively high numbers on it was that to keep things afloat when you guys were paying bills or was that just discretionary spending that you weren't even aware that you were doing" Is hiding debt from your spouse a form of cheating? Yes or no.

Dave: Chase, you’re on the line. What’s going on, brother? Caller: Dave, we just hit Baby Step 7. House paid off, cars paid off, zero debt. But I’m burnt out. I’ve been working multiple jobs for two years straight and I just had a newborn. Dave: Congrats on Baby Step 7. That’s huge. So what’s the problem? Caller: I’ve got this little side business that brings in about $1,100 a month. I hired my parents to help… and they’re taking on personal debt left and right even though I’m trying to help them. Dave: Stop. Caller: I feel responsible for them. Dave: You’re not. You can’t control grown adults’ money. You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink. Caller: So what do I do? Dave: Protect your peace, protect your wife, protect that baby. If that side hustle is stressing you out and it’s not your main income… shut it down. Walk away. Caller: Even if it means my parents lose the income? Dave: Yes. Their choices are not your emergency. Focus on your household. You’ve done the hard work. Now go enjoy being debt-free.

Nolan reveals that he and his brother studied The Testament of Dr. Mabuse while creating the Joker for The Dark Knight. Christopher Nolan: "Fritz Lang, Testament of Dr. Mabuse. Amazing mastermind criminal. We looked at Dr. Mabuse a lot, my brother and I, when we were doing The Dark Knight for the character of the Joker." FT: @Criterion and Christopher Nolan.

Jackie Chan says that back in the day there was less budget for CGI, so every jump, every fall, and every fight scene came with real consequences. Steve Harvey: “Your body has gone through a lot over the years, man. Is there anything that you haven’t broken? We got a chart; we made this up. You’ve broken everything on you.” Jackie Chan: “Uh, not that—most people… ‘Oh Jackie, you’re breaking every bone in your body.’ And not every bone, but I can say every inch from the hat to my toes. Scratch, blue, yes—but bone, little bit. Like, I have a hole in my head, a little bit.” Steve Harvey: “That’s a hole? Put your finger…” Jackie Chan: “Oh, hell no. Uh, have a hole, a cut, cut, broken, this gone, jaw, cheek broken, broken, broken, crack, crack, crack, crack, crack, broken, broken, broken, ankle almost… just not everything broken, but close.” FT: @IAmSteveHarvey and Jackie Chan

Jennifer Lawrence says she wasn’t bothered by people calling her ‘annoying.’ What surprised her was how quickly the internet rushed to ‘save’ her. “You’re not annoying. We never thought you were annoying.” Jennifer says that reaction from the internet ended up being the annoying part. 😂

Christopher Nolan reveals the hidden process behind creating two of cinema’s greatest villains: Heath Ledger’s Joker and Tom Hardy’s Bane. Christopher Nolan: "And I think in both cases, interestingly, the key stills of those characters... the one of of Heath is a very big closeup of Heath with just his eyes and his mouth visible. It was very defining. It was the first image we put out that was taken during the hair and makeup test, not during principle. Similarly with Tom... there's a a great shot of him sort of from behind looking across his back with his head turned to the left that we put out right at the beginning that was also from his hair and makeup tests. So, uh yeah, it's kind of kind of been the way those things have come together. But that's the the interesting thing with this generation of actors of which, you know, Heath obviously [is a] phenomenal leader in that, and Tom, you know, just one of the finest of his generation. They fuse the sort of psychological realism, the internal method-based acting of the 70s onwards—well, 50s onwards really. Um, but they also combine it with this older, more external, you know, call it Olivier, Charles Laughton, you know, that prior generation of... sort of give me the hat and the walking stick and let me sort of find that and see how the walk informs the character." “Jonathan Ross asked Tom Hardy why Bane wears the mask… Tom wasn’t about to spoil anything. 😂” Jonathan Ross: “Let me ask you then about Batman 'cause this is going to be the big, no two ways about it, it's going to be one of, if not the biggest movie of the summer. You've seen it, is it finished? Have they finished cutting it together?” Tom Hardy: “I haven't seen anything.” Jonathan Ross: “Okay, the trailer's out there, people have seen the trailer. Have you seen any of the action in that?” Tom Hardy: “I've seen the trailer, yeah, a bit.” Jonathan Ross: “Okay. It looks incredible. I don't know how many of you have seen it. We have a picture of you here as Bane, who's a kind of—that's an awesome picture right there, that kind of sums it up. And what's going on with his face? For people who don't know, what's happened to his face? Why does he wear that thing?” Tom Hardy: “Who, me?” Jonathan Ross: “No, the bloker sitting over there! Who else would know? You, you are him. In gel? Why is he wearing that on his face? Like, who am I going to ask? It's 'cause I showed the Big Breakfast clip. You're still angry at me, you've torn it with me, to be honest.” Tom Hardy: “I'm not angry. It's different.” Jonathan Ross: “Well, you think you're cross.” Tom Hardy: “It's not even cross. I'm this detached, coolly with love, do you know what I mean? Bye, Jonathan. Can I move the toolbox away? Is that what I'm saying? Get the trauma out of the way.” FT: Jonathan Ross and Tom Hardy.

Robert Pattinson says Matt Damon screamed so much for The Odyssey that he thought something was wrong “Matt Damon was making these unbelievable screaming noises in the trailer next to mine.” “At first, I thought he was either on the phone or having a terrible bathroom experience.” “He was actually blowing out his voice on purpose to make his character sound older.” “When I saw how hard he was pushing himself, I thought, ‘You’re taking years off your life doing this.’”

“I’m 51, recently divorced, and I’m terrified I’ll never be able to retire.” Caller: “My divorce drained my finances. I’ve got about $38,000 in savings, a $25,000 car loan, and almost no retirement savings. I feel like I’m running out of time.” Dave Ramsey: “You’re not out of time you just need a plan. Pay off the car today, keep the rest as your emergency fund, and start investing 15% of your income for retirement.” Caller: “It feels scary to use that much of my savings.” Dave Ramsey: “Being debt-free gives you a stronger foundation than hanging onto cash while paying interest. And one more thing your daughter’s student loans are her responsibility.
