I love the fact that you have pinned a tweet to your feed which is so demonstrably false: — the US imposed an arms embargo on Israel from 1948 until 1962. Israel begged three US presidents — Truman, Eisenhower and Kennedy (the latter for 2 years) — for weapons and was rebuffed. — Eisenhower opposed Israel in its 1956 war with Egypt. — Reagan sold AWACS to Saudi Arabia against the wishes of Israel. — Obama supported a UN resolution that negated Israel’s sovereignty over even the Western Wall and pursued the Iran nuclear deal over the fervent objections of Israel. — and there are many more instances of Israel not getting its way. Nonetheless, the US - Israel relationship remains rock solid no matter how hard you try to break it. And Donald Trump — I know it kills you to admit this — is the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the Oval Office. What is it about the facts that offends you so deeply?

@RepGregMurphy You are very right. I am a physician- love my job - and love caring for people. We have to look beyond grades and find people that want to take care of people.

#1 reason for MD shortage is Med schools admitting students who aren’t going to practice. Only 60% of med students today plan on practicing clinical medicine. Med Schools need to focus on admitting students who want take care of patients, not just get their MD.

@RepJeffries You should have helped the prior speaker nominee win. He was a moderate republican. You reap what you sow and I don’t think you thought this through well. It’s nice to now ask for bipartisanship- and Americans hope you get it. However, I fear that will not happen.

It’s time for traditional Republicans to abandon extremism and embrace a bipartisan path forward.

@RepJeffries We need a functioning House of Representatives. Democrats need to work with Republicans. The reality is that the Republicans do have a majority. I think Mr. Jeffries should approach some reasonable Republicans, and find a unifiable candidate. Consider John Boehner or Liz Cheney.

House Dems are ready to get to work. Defend the progress that has been made. And continue to deliver for the people.

We shouldn't listen to people because we agree with what they think. We should listen when we're impressed by how they think. Intellectual loyalty is defending strong convictions.
