We've clarified in our previous critiques and outlines that, apart from the song, Luster Dawn and the statue of the Mane Six, The Last Problem shouldn't be included in Season 9 2.0. That said, there's a lot that's wrong with this episode that bears mentioning, for it's the culmination of S9's bad writing. First up, we have the whole jump forward in time. This is an overdone, overrated trope. No one needs to see characters they've grown attached to over years suddenly aged up, and in this case, they look ridiculous. @SaveMLP De fato! Mas aí era algo que a própria série poderia ter aproveitado. Criar algo que limita elas. Alguma condição que apareceu com os anos, algum artefato mágico antigo, sei lá, tanta coisa que poderiam fazer. Do jeito que deixaram, realmente a Dash está certa, o que é triste.

@JooSamuelSilva1 Yes, Celestia showed ponies the way most of the time, but she also provided assistance where she could or handle things herself. She didn’t always succeed, as in the case of Chrysalis and the parasprites, but she did try. That army also did capture Cozy.

@SaveMLP Acho que você não entendeu, a maioria das coisa que a celestia fez foram mostrar caminho e dar lições, e a infestação de paraspryte só foi erradicada na temporada 7, 6 temporadas depois (pink fez isso em minutos) E sobre a cozy glow aquele exército serviu de nada

@KaCy_SC Agreed, that is a problem that must be corrected. But it must also be remembered that they aren’t all-powerful, nor are they Element bearers anymore and cannot be everywhere at once to deal with every crisis.

Celestia sent Twilight to Ponyville to make friends and become the next Element bearers to defeat Nightmare Moon, sent the Mane Six to deal with the dragon, went to take care of Fillydelphia’s parasprite infestation herself, dispelled Discord’s corruption of Twilight by sending her friendship letters back to read, saved Ponyville from her want-it-need-it spell, fought Chrysalis, sent the Mane Six to the Crystal Empire and showed Twilight a spell she would need, gave the Mane Six the Elements in case they couldn’t reform Discord, led a war against Sombra in an alternate timeline, and helped reopen Twilight’s school. Luna helped Twilight and Cadance undo the Inspiration Manifestation’s effects on Ponyville, defeated the Tantabus, warned Starlight about the changelings, tried to find Queen Novo, and oversaw Cozy Glow’s imprisonment. Both held back a blizzard before helping repair the Crystal Heart and led an army to arrest Cozy Glow and helped capture her. They even say in Season 6 that they’re often solving crises or helping other ponies.

@KushalAlapati They’re not all-powerful, and they aren’t Element bearers anymore and can’t be everywhere at once, so of course they can’t always save the day themselves, but they have, and they’ve helped, or at least tried to, throughout the show. That’s a fact.

@SaveMLP In the movie they frozen into statue, in s4 finale, they had give up all their magic to Twilight, so technically they were too weak to do anything, most if your other clips were from before the Mane 6, and holding elements and warning people isn’t the same as saving the day.

@JonHardwick98 They ran out of good ideas so they dug hers back up after biting it for years. And no, just because she created the show doesn’t mean all her ideas for it were good.

@SaveMLP Always hasn’t had the best idea? She created the characters and created the universe, I think she would know that and very idea that many of the writers tried keeping some of her ideas as far as into the ninth season speak volume.

@JonHardwick98 Faust hasn’t always had the best ideas. Her plans for Twilight stopped being narratively viable after she left the production team and Twilight’s arc changed from becoming Celestia’s successor to Princess of Friendship as the show went on.

@SaveMLP Twilight taking over was Faust’s idea so I wouldn’t go against her, the rest I don’t mind being changed. And I had no issue with the school of friendship.
