🇮🇩 ATR 42-500 CRASH CONFIRMED | INDONESIA AVIATION SAFETY UNDER QUESTION!! Indonesian SAR teams have confirmed aircraft debris scattered across Mount Bulusaraung, Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi, from the ATR 42-500 that crashed on approach to Makassar–Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport. According to the SAR Mission Coordinator, debris was found at multiple points, including the tail section located south of the lower slope, confirming a wide debris field. ⚠️ A crash during approach in mountainous, fog-prone terrain once again raises serious safety concerns: Terrain and weather risk management Approach planning and execution Oversight of state-chartered operations CFIT risk mitigation Indonesia has seen this pattern before. Difficult terrain + marginal weather + weak oversight = repeated tragedy. Condolences are not safety measures. Enforcement, accountability, and hard limits are. ✈️ How many more aircraft before safety comes first? #IndonesiaAviation #AviationSafety #ATR42

Fighter Jet Makes ‘Hard Landing’ at Pune Airport; Video of the Incident Surfaces Flight operations at Pune Airport were suspended for nearly 11 hours after an Indian Air Force fighter aircraft made a hard landing due to landing gear failure, blocking the runway late Friday night. A minor fire was quickly brought under control, and both pilots were reported safe. The prolonged disruption led to multiple flight cancellations and at least eight diversions to other cities, causing inconvenience to passengers. Services resumed in phases on Saturday morning after thorough safety inspections, with authorities prioritising passenger safety before restoring operations.

Runway repair work has since been completed on a war footing, with safety maintained as the top priority throughout. Departure operations will resume from 07:30 AM, and arrival operations will commence from 08:00 AM. Air traffic in Pune is expected to gradually return to normal over the course of the day. @MoCA_GoI @AAI_Official @aaipunairport

🇮🇩 13 April 2013. Bali. A brand new aircraft. Just 142 hours total time. Lion Air Flight 904 — a Boeing 737-800 — should have been one of the safest flights in the sky. Instead, it ended up in the sea, just short of the runway at Ngurah Rai International Airport. 108 people onboard. Everyone survived. But here’s what actually happened: The runway wasn’t in sight below minimums. Weather turned bad. Fast. The approach became unstable. And still… they continued. By the time the go-around was called — it was already over. Let’s be clear. This wasn’t some old aircraft. This wasn’t a technical failure. This was decision-making breaking down at the worst possible moment. Aviation doesn’t rely on luck. But on that day — luck saved 108 lives. Next time? There may be no second chance. ✈️ Safety isn’t when everyone survives. It’s when this never happens in the first place.

#OTD in 2013: Lion Air Flight 904, a B-737, crashes in Bali (Indonesia). No fatalities on the 108 aboard, 46 injured. On approach, jet impacted sea 0.6 mi from runway. Enquiry noted crew actions attempting to land in bad weather, aborting the maneuver too late. #aviation #aviationdaily #aviationsafety #aviationhistory #avgeek

🇮🇳 Electrical short circuit → Fire in Mumbai Airport T1. Smoke everywhere, systems down, passengers panicking. Officials call it 'minor' and say ops unaffected. But recurring short circuits in a high-traffic hub? This isn't acceptable. Serious questions on maintenance & fire safety standards needed. Enough with the 'quickly controlled' excuses. #MumbaiAirportFire

🇮🇩 This is not just a “ceiling collapse.” This is a system failure. At Soekarno-Hatta International Airport — a flagship airport meant to represent Indonesia to the world — the ceiling at Terminal 3 collapses after heavy rain. Not an earthquake. Not a rare disaster. Just rain. Passengers are seen running. Water is cascading from the roof like a waterfall. And this is happening in one of the busiest terminals in Southeast Asia. Yet the response? “Only a brief disruption.” This is the normalization of failure. • Basic infrastructure unable to handle predictable weather • Safety risks dismissed with PR statements • No visible urgency, no accountability • A pattern Indonesia’s aviation sector knows too well Let’s be clear — heavy rainfall in Jakarta is not exceptional. It’s expected. So what does it say about construction quality and oversight when a modern terminal cannot withstand it? And more importantly — What if this happened minutes earlier, directly above a crowded boarding gate? Operator PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia will call it “under control.” But the footage tells a different story — one of systemic negligence being exposed in real time. This is how disasters give warnings before they strike. Ignoring them is a choice. ✈️ Safety isn’t proven when nothing happens. It’s proven when systems hold — even under stress. Today, they didn’t. 🎥Courtesy: r.grnda_/ (Threads) #AviationSafety #Indonesia #SoekarnoHatta #SafetyFirst
