I believe the startle response and "do nothing" meditations can trigger an A&P event. Currently looking into utilizing neurofeedback and VR environmental stimulus to do just that when the brain has reached a state of low DMN activation. store.steampowered.com/app/1441040/VR…

I had Claude make it more introductory and friendly to anyone not familiar with the system. Added a bright and dark theme, font size, and table of contents. All while sitting in the hot springs on my phone. I am blown away by the content and presentation: claude.ai/public/artifac…

Claude just broke down the self and Self in IFS better than I've ever seen it ever represented visually. It made it into a two column page with expanded sections in about a minute. Incredible claude.ai/public/artifac…

@dianawinston Created a web / mobile version of the basic English meditations as my new Pixel was experiencing some issues with playback on the app. Also planning to utilize to drive my VR / BCI meditation app. Creative Commons licensing at its best. savetheplatypi.github.io/ucla-meditatio…

My single biggest pain point right now: AI-induced attention deficit I have 5 Claude Code sessions running 10 Terminal tabs open 50 browser tabs open 100 X articles in my bookmarks When there are multiple AIs working for you, you're constantly task switching When you're waiting for AI to output, you're constantly distracted Because what used to be hard is now so easy, you always wanna do more, more, more Because of the speed of the AI news cycle, you feel a constant need to be on this app Add all this up and the result: you live in a constant state of distraction & delirium. Focus & deep work is harder than ever If anyone has figured this out pls teach me how

We’re saying goodbye to the Sora app. To everyone who created with Sora, shared it, and built community around it: thank you. What you made with Sora mattered, and we know this news is disappointing. We’ll share more soon, including timelines for the app and API and details on preserving your work. – The Sora Team

I made some serious progress with Claude Cowork and the Unreal MCP driving the Neurosity crown. My takeaways are that the hardware and software for VR, BCI, and AI are not quite there yet... but we're getting very close. twitch.tv/cluelessgamerd…

🚨 New preprint from SEMA Lab! 🚨 We applied our tFUS meditation enhancement protocol to a two-week meditation training course in a placebo-controlled design. We found that participants who received active tFUS to their PCC showed increased desegregation between Default Mode Network (DMN) and Central Executive Network (CEN), a signature of long-term meditation practice. This desegregation effect correlated with increased spontaneous sitting time and increased self-reported acceptance. This landmark trial shows that we have the potential to *vastly* accelerate meditation training -- those early days, weeks, years when the practitioner is still searching for the groove of deep practice. We thank David Creswell and Emily Lindsay for their pioneering 2-week meditation training protocol, which we adopted for this study. Also thanks to Joy Ventures for their funding support, Matthew Sacchet @MatthewSacchet, and all our generous supporters. @ShinzenYoung @JaySanguinetti

What happens in the brain when consciousness is voluntarily suspended in advanced meditation and then returns with radical clarity, equanimity, and relief? Mainstream neuroscience has largely studied reduced consciousness through sleep, anesthesia, or pathology, but advanced meditation offers something very different: extended cessation (EC). EC is a rare meditative endpoint (MEND) where phenomenal experience is temporarily and volitionally absent, followed by pronounced perceptual vividness, openness, equanimity, and affective balance. EC offers an endogenous, non-pharmacological, and volitional way to investigate how conscious experience may temporarily cease, and how the mind may reorganize afterward. I'm delighted to share our new preprint: "EEG brain reconfiguration during meditation-induced extended cessation of consciousness: A dense-sampling multi-participant microstate study.” Using high-density EEG microstate analysis across six frequency bands (broadband, delta, theta, alpha, beta, gamma) in five highly trained meditators, this study is one of the first empirical characterizations of EC. Our key findings include: -- Microstate B (linked to self-referential imagery and autobiographical memory) became less frequent and shorter during EC, suggesting down-regulation of the brain's inner self-narrative -- Microstate C (linked to the default mode and salience networks) increased in dominance, reflecting deep inward absorption and metastable DMN reconfiguration -- Transition flows shifted: sensory processing fed more toward DMN-like states and away from self-referential networks -- Delta band changes point toward strengthened sensory-led updating with deprioritized self-related priors -- Beta band changes suggest reduced cognitive-autobiographical interplay and enhanced local sensory loops Together, these results support a precision re-weighting account of EC, converging with our prior 7T fMRI evidence of reduced global connectivity alongside enhanced sensory differentiation. Notably, EC produced no novel EC-specific microstate class, consistent with sleep and anesthesia. Instead, altered consciousness appears to modulate the temporal parameters and syntax of existing maps. Unlike sleep and anesthesia, however, EC preserves neural complexity and is followed by a profound psychological afterglow rather than residual confusion. Congratulations to first author David Zarka, co-authors Winson Yang @winsonfzyang, Abel Rassat, Ruby Potash @rpotash16, and Terje Sparby @terjesparby, as well as the extraordinary meditators who offered their time and their practice to make this science possible. We warmly welcome reflections from scientists, clinicians, practitioners, and friends interested in this frontier. The full preprint is included below ⤵️ May this work benefit many 🙏

Using AI as a therapist and hoping it's not just feeding you what you want to hear? Maybe OpenAI and Anthropic did not become 2 of the world's 3 most valuable private companies by putting your mental health first.

The moment I realized my role as a human has changed in terms of content creation. I am now a manager as Sora cranks out videos of my likeness which are more excitatory than I can be on camera and Claude generates codes for a video game I could not make myself.

@vizuu3d can you explain more how you made the openclaw agent's / suggest a link to start? I have the MCP hooked into Roblox studio and can prompt it from Claude desktop and it's making my game. I'm just looking to automate the feedback loop now with a 'beta tester' to the 'coder'

My AI agents just coded an entire Roblox game while I watched from Telegram. No IDE. No manual coding. Just vibes. → I describe what I want → Claude Opus 4.6 writes Luau code → MCP bridge pushes it into Roblox Studio → Agents validate before shipping Today: rewrote loading screen, added mobile hints, built live counters, fixed 3 UI bugs. All from my phone. The solo dev era just got an upgrade. #RobloxDev #AI #GameDev

@claudeai "IFS parts run on the Default Mode Network — rumination, memory, anticipation. The True Self doesn't. It predates the story. That's why you can't damage it."

Getting some help from @claudeai to shape it more for social unpack after it helped create that original post. "Your parts are time. Your Self is timeless. The DMN is the noise. Self is the silence underneath it."

Currently noodling on a theory involving IFS / Neuroscience, or maybe it's obvious and I just noticed: IFS parts live in the Default Mode Network — exiles in the past, managers in the future. The Self doesn't. It's what's left when the DMN goes quiet. Not created. Just revealed.

two years later, and video industry is cooked. This will be my last post on this matter as the writing is on the wall. Wishing the kids of today and future filmmakers of tomorrow great success using the technology to do things I could have only dreamed of: seed.bytedance.com/en/seedance2_0

AI Video has come a long ways in 6 months. Curious to see where it is the next 6. @leonardoai crushing the competition on text to video atm. Once they add the ability to refine camera motion and add specific animations to the characters, I think it'll be usable in marketing.
