@Zaffar_Nama No one. Rama needs a fresh face. Or at least a fairly unknown one. Once a face has become too well known or common on big screen, they won't be accepted as Gods. Even on screen

If not Ranbeer Kapoor then who in Bollywood would have played Shri Ram's role in the movie? I see many people say Ranveer Singh, but if he didn't have recent Dhurandhar to his credit, people would be trolling him harder than Ranbeer Kapoor. Such was his image before Dhurandhar.

Update on Modi being heavily compromised & therefore effete. This revealing information came to me from someone who has great deal of inside information about PM. Basic facts can be checked by anyone who knows how to do Google search. The day Modi ji took charge as PM, Dr Manmohan Singh's Cabinet Secretary from 2011 onwards, Sh Ajit Kumar Seth came to meet Mahamanav with a big fat file and said, "Dr Saheb has suggested that you look at this file carefully". Mahamanav took the file and went pale as he flipped through the pages because the file contained a lot of dirt on him. Modi looked shaken and asked Seth, "How did this reach you?' Seth answered calmly, "As Cabinet Secretary in the PMO, all important files come to me." Modi ji meekly returned the file and got the hint good and proper. Ajit Kumar Seth was given an extension and appointed as Modi ji' own Cabinet Secretary ! This means Dr Manmohan Singh and Sonia ji had access to all doings and decisions in the PMO. Seth was given extensions by Modi ji in 2014 and served until June 2015. Have you ever heard of any PM anywhere in the world, appointing the most trusted senior officer of his sworn enemy as the head of his own PMO? After retiring, Seth was given yet another reward and appointed as Chairman of the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB). This may well explain why, despite all the sound and fury, 56 inchiya Mahamanav did not dare take any action against Sonia ji, Robert Vadra, Chidambaram and the others, whom he accused of having foreign accounts abroad and much else! It is not just Sonia ji who has access to the dark deeds of Mahamanav but a lot many more people, both within India and abroad. That is why Modi ji is one of the most INSECURE politician of India and therefore, indulges in vulgar boasts and bluster! There is no dearth of corrupt politicians in India and the world over. But none have been as desperate to project themselves as saintly figures, as is India's One & Only 56 inchiya. Hence the constant hysteria in the voice when addressing janata and pretence of being a selfless Mahatma! For the record, the first time Modi ji boasted of "56 inch ki chhati" during his 2014 election campaign, I personally told him, "Don't do this Narendra bhai. It sounds vulgar. His response was, "Aam janata loves it, Madhu ji. only intellectuals like you want sophisticated speeches". Modi ji ke hired scumbags, now find out from your Hriday Samrat, why he appointed Dr Manmohan Singh's Cabinet Secretary as his own top most officer in the PMO? The more you provoke me with your lies and obscene charges, the more dirt will come out from all directions exposing your Hriday Samrat!

@ByRakeshSimha Many practising Hindus say 'spiritual ' instead of 'religious' to indicate belief in Gods, but not necessarily rituals. This is b'cos Sanathana Dharma (aka Hinduism) predates the term Religion. 'Religion' is a limited term. It's more suited to Abrahamic cults

#Mamata Banerjee fears BJP/Modi winning means Bengalis won’t be allowed to eat fish. #Nirupama Menon opposes Modi because he didn’t support Iran and refuses to reopen dialogue with Pakistan. #Madhu Kishwar is upset she didn’t send her to Rajya Sabha. #ArfaKhanum Sherwani opposes him because he’ll keep Pakistan in its place. #Swara Bhaskar is unhappy he didn’t WhatsApp her the NRC draft. #Priyanka Gandhi objects because he’s “pro-USA.” #Dia Mirza thinks UCC means everyone will have to wear uniforms. With such “hard-hitting” arguments, India clearly has a formidable opposition…and an even more formidable Leader of the Opposition in Rahul Gandhi.

PMO chala raha hai Ram Mandir. Isse bada apmaan kya ho sakta hai? Main toh aise asuri mandir mein kabhi jaaun hi nahi,” ~ Madhu Kishwar. Hate for PM Modi has now turned into hate for people’s aastha and the Ram Mandir itself, a mandir that represents decades of patience, perseverance, courage, sacrifice, and above all, the aastha of millions of Hindus. Yasin Mallik effect appears to be lingering on.

The response reflects the anger of citizens who feel betrayed by people whom they trusted to govern the country and now realize how they were let down for personal reasons, wishy washy views about morality globally and not putting national interest first. Believing Pak can be brought around by dialogue despite repeated terrorist attacks , huge killing of Indians and continuous back stabbing is an instance. Citizens have been badly let down and hence this anger.
Nirupama Menon Rao 🇮🇳@NMenonRao

I am no stranger to criticism and have learnt, over time, to absorb it without losing focus. That is part of public life. What is harder to accept is the steady erosion of civility in our discourse. Disagreement is essential; derision and vituperative, personal slander is not. A confident society does not fear dialogue—it conducts it with balance, clarity, and respect. As for me, I follow the teaching of Sri Ramakrishna and his advice: “forbear, forbear, forbear.” That has guided me through my life’s journey.

@VedicWisdom1 @westonDmills There are several terms, in fact 100s, in Sanskrit, which have multiple connotations. Flowing water has its own deep meaning and power. So - Saraswathi is Goddess, is knowledge, is flowing water ( like Ganga) and yes...also a river.

Women of India and Pakistan need to have a separate relationship now? This next chapter of Aman ki Asha is Asha ki Asha :)
Nirupama Menon Rao 🇮🇳@NMenonRao

The women of India and Pakistan need to deploy our ingrained common sense and suggest ways forward in our relationship. We need a women’s caucus. Not to throw accusations against each other but to think calmly and sensibly about the future ahead. For the sake of our children. We need to bring in the counterpoint: without naming it, without sounding defensive, but making it impossible to dismiss. For decades, India–Pakistan engagement has been trapped in a single script: territory, terror, recrimination. We repeat it with ritual precision, but it yields diminishing returns. What if we widened the frame? In West Asia, especially the Gulf, our interests often run in parallel: energy security, diaspora welfare, maritime stability, crisis response. These are not abstractions since they affect millions of lives and the resilience of both economies. Engaging here need not dilute our positions, create false parity, or reopen familiar disputes. It can remain tightly bounded, issue-specific, and without prejudice to core differences. Skeptics will argue that Pakistan cannot compartmentalise, that any engagement risks being instrumentalised, and that peripheral cooperation has never altered core hostility. But the purpose here is not transformation, it is insulation. Not to resolve the conflict by other means, but to prevent it from defining all means. Some may also say Pakistan has found a “role” in the Iran crisis and India should not be seen as seeking one. But this is not about visibility or mediation. Our interests are structural not transitory. If anything, the moment underscores a larger truth: even adversarial states operate beyond their disputes when interests demand it. When the central track is blocked, responsible statecraft does not stand still. It explores parallel ones, carefully, deliberately, and on its own terms. Sometimes, widening the field is not weakness. It is strategy. The women must speak.

@virsanghvi @TheEconomist 'Browbeaten'? People browbeaten will only react AGAINST it. It's the people of India rising against the decades of terrorism. Of being ruled by effete political dispensations. Of being forced to 'grin and bear it' under some vague 'aman ki asha' nonsense

Here’s @TheEconomist on Dhurandhar 2. “Some of the biggest cheers for “The Revenge” at the showing Banyan attended erupted not when patriotic dialogue is delivered, nor when Pakistanis are finished off in increasingly imaginative ways, nor even when the sneering terrorist has his brains blown out. The loudest cheers came when the screen lit up with news footage of Mr Modi, the bravest Hindu of all. But to dismiss “Dhurandhar” as propaganda is to miss something important. It did not become a monster hit by trying to convince viewers of an alternate reality. Its genius is to reflect the world many Indians, browbeaten by years of shrill pro-Modi messaging on TV news and social media, already believe to be real.”

Aditya Dhar, how could you do this?
Did the peak detailing just run out by the end of Dhurandhar-2 ? A drugged friend recognizes Jasi yay! Great writing.
But his own mother doesn’t even look up when a rickshaw stops at the corner of their empty lane & a limping man who btw is of the same build as her missing son walks toward their house? Us desi mothers possess hawk level ability when it comes to identifying missing containers from our kitchens.
A limping son in an empty lane? Honestly, even a blind mother would catch that. You have some serious explaining to do to mothers, Mr. Aditya Dhar.

Criticising PM Narendra Modi is easy. It takes neither courage nor intellect. But to stoop so low that you hold up a fugitive gangster like Dawood Ibrahim as a safer alternative is not dissent, it is intellectual decay on full display. When your hatred for a political leader becomes so blinding that you start whitewashing a man synonymous with terror, crime, and bloodshed, you haven’t exposed the government, you’ve exposed yourself. At that point, it’s not criticism anymore. It’s desperation dressed up as commentary, with a disturbing willingness to mislead your own people just to score a cheap political point. Very disappointing, Ms @madhukishwar
