@DowdWelland @carlinmiller You watched both of them though, didn’t you?! 🤔
English

@HesitantCabbage @PoliticsJOE_UK They weren’t downplaying dyslexia. They were downplaying this tool of a politician. As the mother of a severely dyslexic child, I don’t particularly want Matt Hancock championing it. The cynic in me doesn’t event believe he has it.
English

@PoliticsJOE_UK It wasn't a serious question, the little smirk on both of their faces showed it was a sarky comment. Dyslexia is a serious issue and not something to be made light of.

@Gordon_998877 @joeltalksdesign @BBCNews Oh ok. Why didn’t you just say you were a racist at the beginning? Save us all a bit of time. 🙄

@Gordon_998877 @joeltalksdesign @BBCNews Joel is telling you that he finds it offensive. As a white bloke, you don’t get to decide what black and brown people should or shouldn’t find offensive. Just listen. And change the language. It’s so easy to do. 🤷🏻♀️
English

@Gordon_998877 @joeltalksdesign @BBCNews It’s massively recognised that calling someone coloured isn’t an acceptable term now. Black and brown people are now expressing that it’s not ok. It doesn’t matter that you can’t see it as an issue. The point is, it is. It’s so easy to change our language…
English

@Gordon_998877 @joeltalksdesign @BBCNews I’m curious. What other colours would you encapsulate by using the term white? I mean, I’m white and have never had it used in a derogatory context. That can’t be said for the word coloured when referring to people from various non white hertitage.
English

@joeltalksdesign @BBCNews I've heard this before but I can't honestly see what's offensive about the word coloured. I don't expect you to find an exact word to describe my colour & you don't need to educate yourself, a catch all description of "white" will do. It's not accurate but I'd know what you mean.
English

@Froglet_602cc @BBCNews I guess it's what you grow up with. When I was younger, it would have been disrespectful to call someone black. Personally I don't think any of the words are "bad", it would be the tone & the usage that would be the only way the words would be disrespectful.
English

@arachthiot @CarolineLucas He was wearing a stab vest. It was contrived. And not for warmth.
English

@AEmptyu @DerekMorgan2020 @callumjodwyer @exceedhergrasp1 Anne, there is literally no reason to respond in that tone. How about you engage some kindness. It was a simple question that didn’t deserve your acid response. Kindness makes you happier. Honestly. Try it.

@DerekMorgan2020 @callumjodwyer @exceedhergrasp1 Good grief, march 2020, vaccines were only front & centre for the Oxford Team who quickly spotted that one would be essential....
