Also today, we took two important steps that I believe will make a real difference across Jigawa. I signed into law the Polling Unit Development Fund lawand the conversion of Khadija University, Majia, into the Jigawa State University of Medical and Allied Health Sciences law. The idea behind the Polling Unit Development Fund is simple. People at the grassroots should have a say in what gets done in their communities. They understand their needs better than anyone else. This law gives them that space, and the support to take small but meaningful actions where they live. It also removes many of the delays that usually come with moving through layers of approval. Communities can decide, act, and begin to see results more directly. On the university, this is something we have considered carefully. We need more opportunities for our young people, especially in medical education. Turning it into a specialized institution is part of where we are heading, and with time, I believe it will grow into something people across the state can genuinely take pride in. I want to acknowledge the State Executive Council and the State House of Assembly. The effort and seriousness they brought into this process made a real difference in getting us to this point. There’s still work ahead, but moments like this show that progress comes when people stay committed and do their part.

Election is all about people and winning. So we must commend the Rt. Hon. Speaker of the State House of Assembly of Jigawa State and coordinator of the City Boy Movement Jigawa State Chapter, Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, QS, Ka Yardan Baba Danmodi. Yesterday, he received many grassroots politicians from different parties, including PDP and APC. Thank you, Kayardan Baba Danmodi. Danmodi 4 + 4 all the way, In shaa Allah.

Earlier today, I had a very important meeting with members of our State Executive Council, the House of Assembly, our advisers and aides, Local Government Chairmen, and heads of MDAs here in Dutse. It was one of those moments where you pause and really look at where you are, and where you are going. This is a crucial time for us. We are approaching elections. And I felt it was necessary to bring everyone together so we can think in the same direction and move with the same purpose. We spoke openly about governance, about our party, and about the responsibility we all carry. Because at the end of the day, all of us here belong to the APC, and our focus must remain one, the development of Jigawa State. We really have no other priority beyond that. I also reminded everyone that leadership is not about personal gain. Many of those in the room accepted these responsibilities out of commitment to serve, and I truly appreciate that. Each person is contributing in their own way, and those efforts are being felt across the state. I told them clearly that we must remain united and continue engaging our people at every level. That connection is something we cannot afford to lose.That is why we are putting in place structures to reconnect at the grassroots, to talk to our people, and to keep building confidence. It’s good to see more people coming in. But we have to handle that growth with care, so it strengthens us, not the other way round. I also made it clear that we will pay closer attention going forward—to ensure that everyone stays committed to the values and direction we have set for Jigawa. To those with political ambitions, I said something simple: power belongs to God. If it comes, be grateful. If it doesn’t, be patient. It is not a do-or-die affair. Jigawa has come a long way, and there is still more to be done. The responsibility is on all of us, and I believe we are ready for it.

Baka for a More Prosperous Babura 2027 Yesterday, Saturday 18th April 2026, I officially submitted my application expressing my interest to contest for the position of Member, State Assembly representing Babura Local Government Constituency. This step marks the beginning of a purposeful journey driven by the vision of great leadership, dedicated service, and sustainable development for our people. I have decided to join this race with clear intentions and practical goals for a more prosperous Babura. My agenda aligns with that of my principal, His Excellency, Mal. Umar A. Namadi, FCA, Executive Governor of Jigawa State, whose leadership continues to inspire commitment to grassroots development and inclusive governance. If granted this opportunity, my priority will be quality education. I will work to ensure that every child attends school regardless of background. I will support teachers through capacity-building initiatives and create opportunities for outstanding educators to earn scholarships for Master’s degrees in our universities. This will encourage excellence and promote healthy competition among teachers. In the health sector, I will advocate for improved access to healthcare, particularly for the elderly. I will work towards establishing a standard pharmacy within our local government to provide subsidized medicines, including a 50% reduction for senior citizens. I will also initiate support programs for children living with sickle cell and other health challenges. I will also prioritize access to clean and safe water, especially in villages facing water scarcity. I will work with relevant authorities and partners to support the provision of boreholes, rehabilitation of existing water facilities, and sustainable community-based water management systems to ensure reliable access to potable water for our people. To address youth unemployment, I will establish a standard skills acquisition center where young men and women can receive quality training for self-employment. I will also organize quarterly youth development programs, inviting professionals to empower our youth in entrepreneurship, personal branding, digital skills, and artificial intelligence. I will support local businesses, especially women engaged in small and medium enterprises. Furthermore, I will advocate for impactful constituency projects such as the provision of adequate sanitation facilities in public places, including markets. I will also ensure that orphanages receive the support they deserve and promote the integration of Almajiri children into western education through collaboration with the State Tsangaya Board. Additionally, the Jigawa Education Outreach Project is being developed into a standard foundation. I have initiated the process of registering it to enable access to national and international funding, which will be utilized to implement sustainable initiatives that support our people. Together, through great leadership and collective commitment, we will build a stronger, united, and prosperous Babura. I sincerely thank Almighty Allah for bringing me to this stage of my journey. GREATER BABURA HEALTH IS WEALTH On 30th May 2026, we will organize a Mega Medical Outreach in Babura Local Government in honor of His Excellency, Mal. Umar A. Namadi, FCA, Executive Governor of Jigawa State, under the Jigawa Education Outreach Program (JEOP 2027). The outreach will cover all wards in Babura Local Government, with 1,000 people expected to benefit from this initiative, in sha Allah. Services to be provided include:• Free malaria testing• Blood sugar testing• Free medical consultation• Free drugs for those who require them This initiative is part of our effort to support those in need and improve access to healthcare, particularly for the elderly and vulnerable members of our communities. Health professionals are invited to volunteer and be part of this impactful outreach. Individuals and organizations willing to support in any way are also welcome. If Mal. @ProfIsaPantami becomes the Governor of Gombe State, I believe the state will be truly fortunate. He is one of the most complete leaders we need today — an all-round personality with strong Western education and deep religious knowledge. He was also among the outstanding ministers during President Buhari’s administration. Although I am not from Gombe State, I strongly believe that good leadership is everything. With someone like him, the state could witness meaningful progress and a new dimension of leadership, especially in Northern Nigeria. If I were the current governor of Gombe State, I would gladly support giving the ticket to Professor Pantami for the betterment of the state. I am hopeful that he will emerge as the gubernatorial candidate after the primaries.

Yesterday in Abuja, I joined His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR (@officialABAT), my fellow state governors, other party leaders and members at the @OfficialAPCNg National Convention where we gathered to take key decisions on the future of our great party. The atmosphere carried a sense of purpose, with delegates engaging and participating in the process that produced a new National Executive Council. It was encouraging to see the level of unity and understanding that shaped the outcome. The emergence of the new leadership reflects the confidence reposed in them and the direction the party is set to follow in the days ahead. I am particularly pleased that Ambassador Haruna Ginsau from Jigawa State emerged as the National Financial Secretary. I congratulate him on this well deserved responsibility and wish him success as he takes on this role. I am confident that he will serve with dedication and contribute meaningfully to the continued growth of our party.

Last night in Abuja, I chaired the Screening Appeal Committee of the National Convention of our great party the All Progressives Congress @OfficialAPCNg at the Jigawa State Governor’s Lodge. It was a session that required patience, fairness, and careful listening, and we approached it with a strong sense of responsibility. I am joined in this responsibility by His Excellency Rt. Hon. Francis (@FrancisNwifuru) as co chairman, alongside His Excellency Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje (@GovUmarGandujee), while Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara serves as secretary. I appreciate the members of the committee for the time they have given, the understanding they have shown, and the seriousness with which they have handled every issue before us. We will keep working together in a way that reflects the principles of our party and keeps us on course.

We are pleased to announce the full leadership structure of the Babura United Movement for Danmodi 2027. This grassroots movement is established to support and campaign for His Excellency, Mal. Dr. Umar A. Namadi, FCA, the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, ahead of the 2027 general elections. The movement will focus on grassroots mobilization, awareness creation, and the organization of strategic activities in preparation for the election. Each ward coordinator is expected to constitute their respective ward structures, including the Ward Secretary, Assistant Ward Coordinator, Media Team, and other supporting officials as necessary.
