Biden deported more illegals than trump and he did it all *without* shooting Americans in the face.

I feel like the majority of people are collectively angry. But there's no singular person or plan to rally behind.

We’re reminding Calgarians to slow down & drive safe, no matter the weather or road conditions. 📍 Early this morning, our members responded to reports of a 16-year-old motorcyclist who was believed to be travelling at a speed of 200 km/hr in the 9500 block of Crowchild Trail N.W. The rider lost control when passing a vehicle on the shoulder, ultimately striking the vehicle before striking a bridge. Thankfully the injuries sustained by the rider were not life-threatening or life-altering. He was transported to hospital in serious condition. ⚠️ So far this year, there’s been a total of 14 fatal collisions on Calgary roads, including four pedestrian fatalities. Speed drastically increases the possibility of serious, life-altering, life-threatening injuries or death. 🗣️ Road safety is everyone’s responsibility. @edmontonpolice To be fair, 152 in a 100 is childsplay with the power levels a lot of these modern cars have. Maybe this was impressive in 1998.

🔵 CHARGE LAID 🔵 We have charged a man who is believed to be responsible for defrauding several people who each invested thousands of dollars in various real estate opportunities under the direction of a realtor. 📍 In July 2024, a victim contacted police to report he believed he was scammed after he invested approx. $80,000 over the span of a year with a realtor & had not received any type of repayment despite the financial agreement. Initially, the realtor proposed a real estate investment deal with the intention of repaying the victim his initial investment, plus interest. After several attempts to communicate with the realtor about a repayment timeline, the victim was provided several excuses & realized he lost money. Police were contacted & launched an investigation. It was discovered there were several additional victims who were also promised similar investment opportunities & were never repaid. Between March 2020 & February 2024, while employed with Re/Max Central, the realtor is believed to have solicited numerous loans disguised as investment opportunities by offering short-term, high-interest transactions, leveraging his professional capacity as a real estate agent. It is believed he told victims he knew of clients who needed funding to close deals on real estate transactions to avoid impacting their credit or borrowing capacity. The realtor explained he would repay the loans in a short timeframe, with profits made from the sale of his client’s homes. He also guaranteed the transactions, ensuring the victims believed the loans were backed by garnishment of his commission from Re/Max Central should he fail to repay the loans. It was later determined the investments were fictitious & the supporting documents the realtor provided the victims were falsified. So far, 16 victims have come forward to police with a combined loss of more than $1.9 million. 📌 As a result, we have charged Eric DRINKWATER, 43, of Calgary, with 1 count of fraud over $5,000. 📣 Anyone with information about these, or similar incidents, or who believes they are a victim of fraud, is asked to contact police. 🔵 CHARGES LAID 🔵 We have charged 2 men from Ontario after it is believed they stole money from a university student after scamming him with an offer to buy an overstock projector at a discounted rate. 📍 At approx. noon on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, the victim was at the University of Calgary, located at 2500 University Dr. N.W., when he was approached by 2 men claiming they worked at the university installing projectors & had excess inventory. The suspects offered to sell the victim a projector at a discounted price. The victim agreed to purchase a projector & accepted a ride to the bank from the suspects in their vehicle. Once at the bank, the victim withdrew funds to pay the suspects for the projector. The suspects transported the victim back to the university campus & when he handed the money to the suspects, they quickly entered their vehicle & left the area without providing the victim with a projector. The victim reported the incident to campus security who a short time later, located the same 2 suspects near a student residence building interacting with a group of students & once again, offering to sell discounted projectors. Police were immediately contacted & launched an investigation. It was determined the suspects were not employees at the University of Calgary, rather posing as employees in an attempt to execute the scam. Investigators believe the suspects have attended multiple post-secondary campuses across Canada in relation to this scam. On Thursday, March 27, 2025, at approx. 10:30 a.m., police located the 2 suspects off-campus in a parking lot located in the northwest community of Collingwood. They were arrested & charged & several projectors, screens & $9,000 in cash was seized. 📌 As a result, we have charged Yousef HILAL, 24, of Mississauga, Ont. & Arpit RASELA, 28, of Georgetown, Ont., each with fraud under $5,000 & with proceeds of crime over $5,000. They will next appear in court on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. 📣 Anyone with information about these, or similar incidents, is asked to contact police. On March 23, a video began circulating online of a safety incident involving a woman at a downtown CTrain station. Calgary Police have shared that the man responsible for the incident was found and taken into custody within 25 minutes of the incident. As Mayor, City Administration and myself remain focused on ensuring that all members of the community feel safe using public transit and accessing city services. Calgary Police and our Peace Officers work consistently to improve public safety in our city — including increased security presence along transit lines. Additionally, there are many ways that Calgarians can notify emergency services about concerns. If you need to report an safety or security issue, which includes disorder, harassment, and infrastructure (such as glass, ice or coverings), Calgarians can:
✅ Use the help phone/button on CTrains and platforms to contact a transit agent who can notify transit peace officers and emergency services.
✅ Send a text to 74100 with your concern. Those using this service should provide as much detail as possible about their location and situation.
✅ If you or those around you feel that your safety is threatened or that you are in immediate danger, call 911. calgarytransit.com/rider-informat…
