You’ll never hear me say that Game 1 was a sliding doors moment. They ran out of gas in that game and it only got worse after. Even the bench players looked stuck in mud. Literally every metric for fatigue pointed to a team that spent far too much energy getting here

@byjoelanderson Pre portal era I mean. I know of some D3 schools in Ohio that were brining in 100 freshman back in the day.

@byjoelanderson Those are probably similar to typical attrition rates at that level. D2 and D3 teams bring in classes of 60+ players and typically have 12-15 left standing as seniors.

These seem like big numbers if you don’t add the context that the vast majority of these players aren’t on scholarship anyway.
I also read it as: if I can’t play somewhere else or find somewhere else to go, I really don’t want to play anymore. Been there ✋🏾
