@RobinNestBCFC I think it’s been poor, there’s no underlying strategy. Manning spent £10m on players for his style, then we appointed Struber and declared the academy has been playing a different way for 4 years and he’s perfect for that. Now we’re looking at 2 very different coaches again?

One thing I feel we can actually say we’ve done well in recent seasons is head coach recruitment Not all worked out for many reasons but I think the initial hiring decisions have been good Pearson Manning Struber …and now potentially Carsley or Mousinho? Not bad is it

#bristolcity I for one will be glad when the Roy Hodgson finishes his stint next week. I’ve enjoyed him being here, listened to every word of his interviews, and loved his honesty, seen his diplomacy. Nice for my team to get a bit of National media attention too. But… (1)

@TheExiledRobin I’m in Birmingham tonight and I’ve just done park and ride into New Street because of this same issue - and wanting to come back to the car in one piece 😂

Slightly odd request, but if anyone knows Birmingham centre well, can you recommend a best non-extortionate place for me to park for 5hrs on Saturday eve? Also, somewhere not too busy that does food that I can watch evening football. Daughter is off to Louis Tomlinson gig at FT!

Don’t think I’ve seen a worse striker than Delano Burgzorg in my whole time watching Bristol City.. just terminate the loan and put an academy player on the bench for the remaining games. #BristolCity

@_W00KS_ @EuanBCFC_ @bcla67 Personally don’t think they “downed tools” just a very depleted squad. Most of them had 2 weeks off before Roy’s first game and we were very lucky in both games. Today was equally pretty poor too, main difference to me is pressure is off

@Scammell29 @EuanBCFC_ @bcla67 Is it miles better than what I saw against Port Vale, Leicester, Derby etc, yes. I think weve knocked it around better and are actually running/trying. If the players downed tools under Struber (I think they did), then thats obviously not great either btw.

@_W00KS_ @EuanBCFC_ @bcla67 Is it miles better? We weren’t solid at the back in either game - Sheff should have had 3/4 if it wasn’t for Vitek. Pring should have been gone after 10 mins. Massive amounts of luck are the big difference - GK MOM both games speaks volumes

@EuanBCFC_ @bcla67 Bird has been fit for ages. Struber didnt use him. We havent played the same system, we are playing four at the back, much more stability, players largely in right positions, much more intent. Its been miles better.

Two things 1. Two HC didn't want to. 2. The money wouldn't have been made available, Deficit & all that. I'll add that spending all of it wouldn't guarantee success or goals as Soton found with another player Gerhard had & wanted again in Damien Downes who cost almost four times as much.

The problem I have with the Mayulu and Armstrong signings is 1. How could you not see Fally doesn't understand the role of a lone striker. And 2. Armstrong can't shoot. He absolutely can't shoot. Why is this the 2 LM is given for now with Wells. Not good enough

Fally scored to outstanding goals & was then dropped. I can't understand that. Armstrong hit an absolute rocket in one game, I can't recall & another great solo run & finish v Brum at AG. Perhaps LM saw that in them before he approved the signings? Both development projects & what we could afford at the time. TBH I wouldn't spend big money on any young players at City.If they're not an immediate world beater it's like the World's ended Stick to journeymen.
