A huge reason I am Catholic today is I realized that if protestantism in its various forms were true, literally millennia of my Christian ancestors had no clue about vast portions of the Christian faith, and Christ’s promise to guide the Church into all truth was falsified.

Not quite. You are talking about Catholics who didn't practice the Catholic faith, so bad Catholic actors are not fruit, they are malpractioners. Your logic is like saying that medicine is bad because of some bad Doctors.
In contrast, Prosperity preachers are specific fruit of Sola Fide, and Sola Scriptura.
Also, I hope you know that Protestants have taught centuries of lies about the Catholic Church. Foxe's book of Martyrs has been debunked as a one-sided hit piece, full of errors.
Meanwhile, Protestants killed millions of Catholics, and pretend to be the victims. Did you know that British protestants enslaved Irish Catholics until 1829 ?
