@OWHAuthor Ive known a number of middle-children and many of them have “middle-child-syndrome”… not necessarily a craving for attention, but a sort of march-to-the-beat-of-their-own-drummer sort of way about them. Not fully integrated into the family dynamic and off doing their own thing.

@TropeTerrain Lol! Not especially well! It's sort of a mash-up of pagan-inspired creation story with biblical characters and influences... The fall of Lucifer is attributed to a sun-god's rejection of the nephilim (angelic hybrids) and chimericals (animal hybrids). Other dieties exist.

@StoniAstley Proper, comprehensive sex-education, basic childcare, home management, and budgeting. Those aren't just basic life-skills, but children who learn early what it takes to actually keep a home and raise a child tend to be more understanding and compassionate towards their partners..

@SusanSavageLee1 The idea, as far as I grasp it, is... can you imagine your book and your comp on the same bookshelf or display table at a bookshop? So, yeah, basic genre and age group with maybe some similar tropes or character types. I just don't know the market well enough.

@ScarletVPage I hate them as well. I can never find any that fit just right—more like they hit on a few things that my work does, but not the whole thing. I don’t even know if that’s what they’re looking for or if they just want to verify that I’m aware of my genre

@RebeccaEvita I can't look it up now, but it was a book about urban exploration and the subculture around it. I read it out of interest, but it did inform one of my characters.

@TropeTerrain Ive got a couple himbos 🤣 In the fantasy, Edgar is huge in human form, tall and jacked up. In the mystery, the deuteragonist is a big guy. It’s unclear how strong he is, as we never really see him doing any major physical activity, but he’s built.
