She called for staff and offered to pay for her drink, but would like to cancel her food order. The manager came, all smiles and hospitality, and tried to convince her to stay. Finally, she admitted that she was leaving because of the sign on the door. The smiles disappeared. He asked her if she was Israeli, and when she confirmed, he began shouting. She said he demanded she pay an exorbitant price for her can of coke as he got closer in order to intimidate the woman who just wanted some food. In an instant, her humanity was stripped from her because of the location she was born. That's the reality Israelis have to face: you tell us to get out of Israel and, when we do, you make sure we know we aren't welcome.
