This might help explain #Tesla’s valuation: Excl stock-based comp, I estimate a Q4/20 operating profit (EBIT) of approx 1.7b. FY 2020 non-GAAP EBIT would amount to 4.2b. Comparison with #VW's Passenger Cars division (25 models) 2019: - 12 times Tesla’s deliveries - LESS EBIT!

If you compare revenue and operating profit (EBIT) on a per vehicle basis, the difference between #Tesla and #FossilAuto blows your mind! How would the incumbents profitably sell #EV’s when their current profit margin with gas-guzzlers is only 600 bucks per car???
