@lientje1967 De claim van Sanchez dat vanwege 'paspoortcontrole' niemand naar het vasteland zou afreizen was dus gewoon een leugen. Ook valt 7.000 minderjarigen moeilijk te rijmen met de eerdere bewering van de Spaanse overheid dat 48.300 vd ca. 50.000 migranten vrijwillig zijn teruggekeerd.

Almost everyone who entered Ceuta yesterday has now returned to Morocco. It is not possible to travel from Ceuta or Melilla to mainland Spain without presenting identification at a police checkpoint. The integrity of the Schengen area is fully guaranteed.

Er is veel rechtse stemmingmakerij rond de toestand in Ceuta. Veel van die bestormers zijn ondertussen al teruggekeerd en de mensen die in Ceuta zijn, zijn nog lang niet op het Spaanse vasteland, laat staan in Frankrijk, Italië, Denemarken of Finland.

The objective was to exert political pressure on the Spanish government in an effort to force concessions over Morocco's long-standing claim to Ceuta and Melilla.

Poland has tightened asylum laws, border procedures, and has built effective barriers on its border with Belarus, which is the eastern border of the EU. We have invested billions of euros and engaged thousands of soldiers, police officers and border guards. Spain must follow our example if Schengen is to survive.
