@TheJoeySwoll @UnderdogMLB Where is the bag being blocked? It’s not. He comes in contact with the base (he’s safe) then he loses contact with the base and gets tagged. As soon as he loses contact it’s fair game.

Absolutely ridiculous. I understand coming off the bag on a steal attempt or even a walk if he is trying to advance more than one base BUT, they don’t take into consideration part of the reason he came off the bag is because they’re trying to make a play on him including blocking the bag. It causes him to come off to avoid it. He had a right to advance on a walk NO fielder impeding him or making a play on him. Because of that, it should be a dead ball base rewarded and NO play or out.
