In US defence & intel circles Jasmine El-Gamal is regarded as one of the best analysts. She has 25 yrs experience in nat security including advising the Pentagon on Middle East. We included her in our 4 Corners “The Big War.” Her analysis here is interesting re regional impacts.

So lemme get this straight... the "imminent threat" was that Israel was about to attack Iran and the US feared they'd be targetted in Iran's retalliation... so they attacked first... and were targetted in Iran's retalliation.
Acyn@Acyn

Rubio: There was absolutely an imminent threat and it was that we knew that if Iran was attacked and we believe that they would be attacked, that they would immediately come after us and we were not going to sit there and absorb a blow

134. The Deep •Release Year: 1989 •Publisher: U.S. Gold •Genre: Action/Adventure •Interesting Fact: You never know what's lurking beneath the surface, laying in wait, ready to attack ... You'll need split second timing as you drop your depth charges — your only weapons — as you fight back destroying the enemy submarines armed with heat seeking torpedoes, floating mines and cruise missiles. Zzap!64 magazine rated it 38% “I wonder what made them decide to convert this? I don't know. But The Deep isn't that good.” Did you play it?

@johnnyedwardfap In the last 27 years, two-thirds of the party's elected members have defected after election. Do you deny that happened, or do you think this is something that should be politely ignored. That is a fact, not an opinion.

Fascinating that a party which has set records for the number of its elected members that have defected, should now be recruiting candidates from amongst defectors from other parties.

Probably one of the best names ever for a computer game: Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe (Lucasfilm Games, 1991) What started with Battlehawks 1942 (1998) and Their Finest Hour (1989), found its conclusion in the last game of the World War II trilogy. The manual (over 200 pages long) includes an in depth background of the Western European Air War between the years 1943 and 1945, technical specs for various planes, and air combat tactics. Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe was definitely not for the casual gamer.

Not a single new law to protect 🇦🇺ns against harmful & high risk uses of artificial intelligence 🤯 abc.net.au/news/2025-12-0… This is what happens when vested interests rather than comunity interests have an outsized influence on govt policy. Scrambling to “regulate as we go” doesn’t protect Australians, damages trust and isn’t the kind of leadership ppl want from government.
