@SchubertCalc @ded_ruckus Not in the vast majority of DEVELOPED countries - which the EU should be part of. But their 20% AC rate is far beyond places like japan, china, korea and others. It's a choice they made and they refuse to accept responsibility - instead they blame us for having AC

@ded_ruckus Sure but I'm guessing you're American (as am I) and are not aware that in the vast majority of other countries, AC is quite rare. Including Europe

@SchubertCalc the way we go from "people die from the weather all the time" to "people die from the weather only very rarely" is by giving people tools to avoid that
in the case of heat waves, that tool is AC

A neighbor called 911 to report a 12 yr old girl home alone with her 6 yr old brother. I went to the door of the 12 yr old & knocked & initially she didn't answer the door. I then announced myself & she did.
I spoke to the girl for about 5 min & in doing so determined in my mind that she was mature enough that she could safely handle being there alone with her brother.
I went to speak to the complainant & the woman disagreed that the two kids shouldn't be there alone. She said kids are kids & should never be left at home much less one child watching another child. She demanded I get child services out to investigate the parents. I advised the woman I'd make no such call to child services, my investigation was done, & if she wanted to file a complaint with child services she could & I'd gladly speak to them & advise of my findings. She then slammed the door in my face & started shouting from inside that cops are worthless. 🫤
I returned to my cruiser to leave & she was looking out her blinds at me so, as I pulled out, I waved & tapped my air horn to enjoy a nice community policing encounter as I left 😁👮♂️🚔

@rasolo92 @ReviewsPossum The key to a happy marriage is: if something occurs that makes it unhappy, address it. Fix it. Proactively, and it's best if you get feedback in advance. And don't be halfhearted or whiny about it.
You don't have to be a doormat to do this. Often the ask is reasonable

Men are right, actually. They are indeed stronger than women. They are born to be the providers and protectors, which is why they have greater physical strength than us. This is exactly why they should be doing the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and dishes, taking care of the house, raising kids, and providing' free labor to the household. They should also be protecting' the house, the women, and the kids by guarding the home all night outside. Since women are emotional, they should be using those emotions to go out into the world and live their happy, chaotic lives. It's not sarcasm, it's biology. Biology made men stronger so they can handle the household, you see that right?!

Nobody has ever wanted to compete with immigrants. That’s the reason we create nations and societies and civilizations, actually. If you’re asking a citizen to compete with an immigrant, you’re functionally addressing two immigrants. What’s the point of being a citizen?

A father’s primary goal should be to model behavior for his daughter to expect from men during courtship and marriage.
