@ScientistsLift I also have a tablet (Samsung Galaxy tab with the Kindle app installed). I'm rereading the ASoIAF series on it at night before bed while listening to the Expanse series on audiobook. If you get a tablet install the Libby app. You can get free digital books from your library

I have the desire to read actual books again. Not scientific journals or textbooks but novels 😩

@math_vet I love me a good autobiography but I think I have to discover what I enjoy again. An audiobook sounds nice but I’m thinking about getting a tablet and downloading books

It’s always a tough pill to swallow when you find out some black people in science aren’t supportive of other black people in science. Like we didn’t go through similar situations. 😪

I tell my clients and my mentees that I can only give them the tools and the roadmap to succeed and it’s up to them to follow it to reach their goals 🤷🏾‍♂️

@JohnStreicher1 @UCWArizona Even with many tenure track faculty there’s no such thing as academic freedom. They might have to jump thru more hoops but if they want you gone they will make it happen

Notable that Dr. Dixon appears to be a non-tenure track faculty member. Academic freedom doesn’t exist if it only exists for a small minority of tenured faculty like myself. Organize, unionize, fight for our freedom. @UCWArizona
