@BruceEssar I know it's tough when you love making music and real life gets in the way. I do have a master plan though: Get rich! Yes. Get rich and retire from doing any work, and just make music all day long. I'm still working on the how to get rich bit, but I'll let you know .... 😃

@westernjaguar 500!? So to clarify about 60 saves to get it ready for mixdown and then as part of mixdown my ear gets so attuned to the little errors that they keep popping up and there goes another version. However on a lo-fi rescue job I’m much quicker as there only a limit to what you can do

@ScifiFunk It depends I guess what you consider a “mix” - my little adjustments in the DAW is over like 500+ haha, actually bounced out and closely assessed and manipulated. I’d say 5-10

How many mixes until a song is “done” for you?

@westernjaguar Yeah that would be either genius (never in my case) or sloppy. The truth is on a full release I get to about version 60 then it always gets to about 100. So I guess the answer is about 40. How about you?

People want to know how to find good music these days. There are plenty of ways, you just have to do some digging but I assure you, it's worth it to put in effort than have the mainstream shove their vile excrement into your ears!

@ScifiFunk Cool man! Thanks. I try to keep it like long form socials and also a behind the scenes VIP feel. Music first, info first, deals first. Everything goes to the VIPs on the mail list before I ever announce anything publicly! I do have my website too but defs don’t utilize enough!

Releasing new music is fun! (Until you realize you have to promote that new music 🫠 )

@westernjaguar I think social media is dying , certainly from an effective point of view, but the humble website, turned into a content machine I think is the future. It’s a mega commitment though.

@ScifiFunk I think that’s why I’m feeling kinda down on it right now. I’m kinda out of fresh ideas. When I have an idea or angle I’m into, it can be fun, but I don’t really have anything at the moment haha
