I’ll be honest, I don’t want Canada as a 51st State They have a population size (41M) comparable to California (39M), except even more liberal They didn’t grow up learning about the Revolutionary War, free speech, owning guns, and liberty It would lead to 2 safe Democrat Senate seats It would also lead to a net +25 Democrat Congressional seats (out of ~50+ new House seats) and a guaranteed 50+ Electoral College votes for Democrats every election Republicans would never win the White House or have a House majority ever again Am I missing something here? What is the value of adding Canada as a state that we can’t achieve with trade deals?

I received my tax notice from the City of Edmonton. My property taxes are now $1,342 per month for a three-bedroom, two-bath bungalow, a one-year increase of $230 per month. We are seniors, living near the river valley and I’m retired. This increase is criminal and needs looking into.
