As we get deeper into Season 1, we've been monitoring your feedback around the current combat sandbox closely. We wanted to talk a little about a few of the topics we're seeing frequently from the community, and some updates we're planning. 💣Too Many Grenades A big topic in the community right now is that it's not a good experience to open up a fight only to be barraged with dozens of grenades. We're looking to push some changes to stock counts and stack sizes before the end of the season. We're keeping an eye on the overall usage of equipment and will make additional changes as necessary. 🪙Gold Ares Railgun The Ares railgun with a Prestige mod being able to one-shot Runners with purple or gold shields is unintentional, and we'll be issuing a fix in a future update. We want it to feel strong and fun to use without being so effective it becomes overly frustrating to play against. 🔫WSTR Damage Nerf The WSTR damage nerf was a temporary nerf and we just released a more nuanced set of changes earlier today in Update 1.0.6.2. While we aren't looking to change the two-shot breakpoints, the WSTR indeed took a bigger hit than we were intending with the temporary nerf and we intend for this change to put it in a better place. It should have similar effectiveness against AI as before the nerf as well have less damage fallout at range. Go try it out and let us know what you think. @echosartplanet it’s like a fly trap every single time. You mention that you like the game and someone just has to constantly bring up steam numbers like it’s an investment chart. Play the game or don’t.

I absolutely love it. It’s put me through the wringer and continues to test me. I’m very much a middle of the road PvPer. Not terrible, but not great, but it at launch it has had some of the best PvP experiences I’ve ever played and I know that it will continue to give me more of it once some outliers like grenade spam are addressed. It’s a game that takes a lot out of me and I wouldn’t change that for the world. Easily the best feeling FPS on the market and it’s the best extraction experience I’ve played. 9/10.

@WholesomeRaf @vesseloftauceti Once nade spam is addressed I don’t see how an average player can’t play cryo. It’s supposed to be super difficult. Game studios can’t just make everything baby easy because the average gamer after COVID is coddled and bottle fed.

Idea of Cryo is horrible though It should be a part of the core experiendce not some superhardcore endgame for sweats I don't like going there, my mess ups cost my team cash, time and gear, it's super uncomfortable unless you have a regular squad of irl friends who play this game

@isolatedrook They “reduced visibility of recon scan” by deadass making it invisible. The only way you can tell you’re getting scanned is if you have a recon. They just need to make the ult more visible again and the character would feel much more balanced. Also only a problem on cryo really

Bungie really needs to consider reversing the knife nerf. Yes the knife should only be able to do heavy damage to higher tier shields like Purple & Gold if players have invested into the knife skills. Regardless, the knife should be better than what it is now

@Joesnothereman @GernaderJake SBMM defeats the entire purpose of playing an extraction shooter. The whole point of an extraction game is to be able to go against players of any skill/gear variety at any point. If you never go against people that are better or have better gear, YOU will never get better.

You created a dedicated but small player base and have continually shat on them through your lack of meaningful changes to the endgame combat system. Marathon has a great foundation but you refuse to attack any of the core issues. This same exact thing happened with Destiny 2.
