One the one hand, I don’t know what to make of this call so will accede to the judgement of the folks doing the VAR review. On the other hand, I know that FIFA is a corrupt organization to its core. However, the Republicans moved so fast with the hearings of the Great Jay Clayton, current U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, that Pulte would be gone before the Dumocrats would vote on FISA. Now, the Dumocrats are saying they will vote against FISA — So, the Republicans wound up having fulfilled their commitment, but Dumocrats broke the Deal. In addition, the newly nominated U.S. Attorney, Jamie McDonald, must be confirmed and blue slipped. No one, including Arab countries is going to “give” Iran 300 billion dollars. The region wants stability and economic growth, and needs it. The 300 billion would come by way of investment. Stronger economic ties means more stability. Note that it’s not “other” Arab countries. Iran is not Arab. It’s Persian. That’s not a distinction without a difference.

Why would other Arab countries give $300 billion to Iran? What is the benefit to them?
