@bouchbombs I get it, I just think you have a better chance to get a 1C that's closer to Celebrini than you do to get a dman as close to Schaefer. I'm not gonna avoid using Oilers examples here for a couple of reasons, I think it's like asking if Avs had to trade one, MacKinnon or Makar?

This is such a tough call. Celebrini will undoubtedly put up more offense & I think people still fail to understand how valuable offense truly is. But the gap between Schaefer & other RD that could become available in their careers is probably larger than Celebrini & other Cs.

Parayko uses his negotiated no trade and people kick a fuss up. The real issue as I see it was why was the trade public in the 1st place until signed off? Who leaks this? Not player, not agent .. no benefit. Cheesy of teams to back door pressure the player that they gave no trade to. If that's where the info came from
