"The right to a better tomorrow". Bringing the presentations to a close is Jade Hibbert @StGilesTrust, outlining the key work they do to support people impacted by poverty, violence and exploitation, and the justice system.

Lesley Weber and Kevin Ditcham @PoliceScotland highlight how an "open and continuous dialogue" with the public, colleagues and communities has helped develop a listening and learning police system.

Further building on the importance of understanding public opinion, Amanda Coulthard, SPA and Mark Diffley, Diffley Partnership outline how regular public polling helps to inform scrutiny and oversight of policing in Scotland, and what the most recent poll shows.

Opening the final session is Robert Cook @scotgov, giving an overview of the findings from the recent #ScottishCrimeandJusticeSurvey.

Rounding off this session are Inspector Laura Stewart and Emma MacFarlane @PoliceScotland. Their presentation explains how trauma-informed and responsive practice has been embedded across the service.

"There is a misconception that #VictimSupport is just tea and sympathy". Kerry Knox explains how Victim Support Scotland puts the individual at the heart of action, advocates for victims' rights and lobbies for policy change.

Hamish Robertson, The Wise Group is sharing insights into why creating stability in people's lives is so important, and how it links to overall community safety.

Moving on to the next theme of 'trust', DCI Jackie Knight @PoliceScotland is outlining the approach of the Retail Crime Taskforce: Prevent Pursue Protect Prepare

Closing off the 'innovation' theme are Prof Lorna Dawson, @JamesHuttonInst and Constable Grame Brown @PoliceScotland, illustrating the use of soil in solving and deterring rural crime, in particular metal theft.

Karen Robertson and Graham Strong from SPA Forensics Services are up next, outlining how using virtual reality in the training of fire investigators can maximise efficency, improve understanding and increase confidence.

Opening the first theme of 'innovation' is Jimmy Paul, Scottish Violence Reduction Unit and Alison McIntryre, @barnardos, demonstrating the positive impact that can be had when partners from across sectors work together.
