@jason_howerton Date them, keep them in a jar and record a bit of video. You'll appreciate it even more in those years to come 👍

My youngest son, 6, has started doing one of those things that's so special you just know you'll remember it until you die.
He grabs my hand, drags me to his bedroom, closes the door and then pulls out a notepad.
"Daddy, will you write 'loving notes' with me."
He will then write his message. It's usually like, "I love daddy so much" — except imagine it in 6 year old handwriting.
Then it's my turn: "Austin is strong and brave and I love him to the moon and back."
He'll want to repeat this process about 10 times before I call it. Ngl, "loving notes" is me new favorite thing.
One day, God-willing, I'll be an old man laying in a bed reminiscing about doing "loving notes" with my little son. I'm in the good old days.

I am proud to announce that I have successfully completed the world’s first USA coast to coast fully autonomous drive!
I left the Tesla Diner in Los Angeles 2 days & 20 hours ago, and now have ended in Myrtle Beach, SC (2,732.4 miles)
This was accomplished with Tesla FSD V14.2 with absolutely 0 disengagements of any kind even for all parking including at Tesla Superchargers.

Austin's Rail Adventures@ukrailadventure
What a day! The good people at @LNER arranged for Austin to see if he has what it takes to be a train driver by having a go on their azuma simulator in Leeds 😃 we've had so much fun & laughed a lot, especially when the plushies were calling the signaller 😆 more to follow soon!

@jason_howerton "it’s easier in the way sitting on the couch eating ice cream is easier than going to the gym. It feels easy in the moment, because it is… but 20 years later when you’re 50 pounds overweight, things get hard."
Great way to explain it 👍

A rebuttal to “DINK” (dual income, no kids) lifestyle that seems to be catching on:
You are correct. Having no kids to care for is “easier.” No question.
I don’t have many bottomless mimosas brunch dates with these days.
But, it’s easier in the way sitting on the couch eating ice cream is easier than going to the gym. It feels easy in the moment, because it is… but 20 years later when you’re 50 pounds overweight, things get hard.
Few have ever said a grueling workout is “fun.” It’s not. It sucks. But how you feel AFTER you’ve achieved is what makes it worth it.
That’s being a parent. Sure, there will be epic tantrums and you will sacrifice much of your instant gratification for their happiness.
You’ll feel depleted, like you’ve got nothing left, when suddenly your child will look at you and say something like: “I’m so lucky God gave me a daddy like you.”
Your battery suddenly recharges to 100% - it keeps you going.
And in those moments—the good ones—you’ll realize that there is more happiness and contentment to be found in THEIR joy than you ever found in your own. This is a wild realization — and an important one.
And you’ll be willing to give up even more of what you “want” to see that joy shine through them again.
It’s also a significant part of your legacy that when you die, you’ve left God-fearing, people-loving human beings behind who are capable of making the world a little brighter. This is PURPOSE. It’s why God created the family.
I’m just trying to point out that doing the thing that is “easier” is hardly ever the thing that is best for you in the long term.
Maybe in the short term, living for only yourself feels worth it. But when you’re 60 years old and you’ve finally figured out what actually matters in life… you’re going to want grandchildren running around while you sit in your rocking chair.
You’re going to want to see the humans you raised loving their own families and carrying on a bloodline legacy - and hopefully correcting some of your own parenting mistakes.
To the *vast majority* of people who read this, trust me… Get married. Have kids. Lead them to Jesus. Win.

My daughter wasn’t a celebrity. She was a normal young woman who tragically developed brain cancer. I’m simply trying to raise awareness of glioblastoma, the Grade 4 brain tumour that took her at just 19 years and 5 days.
Charlotte didn’t have a bucket list and she didn’t have a large group of friends to enjoy one with. She wasn’t popular at school. She was a timid, anxiety-ridden teenager. But when she was diagnosed with cancer, something changed. She faced it head on.
Gone were the days of fear and loneliness. A whole new chapter began.
Charlotte spoke out. She appeared on all kinds of media. She comforted other young people with cancer who had no voice.
Miles, Charlotte’s brother, and I continue to raise awareness of brain cancer. If you could RT & follow to help keep Charlotte’s legacy alive, it would mean so much. Awareness saves lives.

NEWS: Volvo says it will drop US supplier Luminar Technologies, a maker of lidar sensors for self-driving cars.
“Volvo Cars has decided to remove the lidar sensor from its EX90 and ES90 cars and discontinue its relationship with supplier Luminar. Volvo has made this decision to limit the company’s supply chain risk exposure and it is a direct result of Luminar’s failure to meet its contractual obligations to Volvo Cars." - Volvo
Luminar has warned investors it may have to declare bankruptcy.
