@etrade ive never experienced anything like this. Over 25 hours spent on phone trying to transfer money from my Roth ira to self directed ira trust. They tell me they have everything yet keep denying my transfer. Over and over and over. Insane

The US will need ~450 GW of new electricity generation capacity by 2030 to meet rising demand from data centers, reshoring, etc. And the Senate is about to vote on a bill that could wipe out ~500 GW of potential energy generation capacity.

The US is falling behind the curve on solar power – a key energy source of the 21st century. We are losing our edge to China on the technology that we originally invented. Now Senate republicans want to take out our solar industry at the knees in their "Big Beautiful Bill":

Congressional Republicans just added a new job killer, tax and cost increase into the big, cruel bill targeting our thriving wind and solar power. The Republican bill now attacks solar and wind investments, which is bad for Colorado on so many levels, but this is a new low. thehill.com/homenews/53752…

The Senate bill will now result in ~300GW less wind and solar power built this decade. This comes when we need ~450GW of power to meet demand. Nuclear etc. can’t be built quickly enough to fill the gap. This will mean demand way outstrips supply and 📈 utility bills.

@SteveGuest Solar panels cause the whole area to heat up, it’s called the island effect. There was a study done on it. Turbines dry the whole area out just like a home fan dries out water on a rug. Both are horrible

@SteveGuest If this is true, then why dont we hold the same standard to every other type of electricity generation. Stop subsidizing coal and fossil fuels then too. Farmer subsidies for growing corn for ethanol for our gas tanks should stop too

@mopenshaw @elonmusk The problem is solar and wind would not be treated "the same" as other industries but significantly worse.

@elonmusk Oh you mean the so solar and wind be treated like any other power generation industry in terms of their tax structure, rather than tax subsidized. That suggests they cannot compete fairly with other sources of power generation without govt tipping the scales in their favor.

Yes. A massive strategic error is being made right now to damage solar/battery that will leave America extremely vulnerable in the future.

@elonmusk why don't you push to keep the renewable subsidies? We need local power dominance to #makeamericagreat . Every other power production method has subsidies and renewables are some of the least expensive power options!

@bchesky i make a couple hundred k of revenue a year with airbnb. Evsry other channel i have my own dedicated rep if i have issues. Airbnb i have to call a call center. Any plans on changing that?

@bchesky Airbnb needs to realize it has two customers. The host that lists their property and the guests that stay there. With how airbnb support treats hosts, i am only there because i have limited options. The second that changes, im gone.

@bchesky i am a superhost with 8 listings and over 1000 reviews. other day i had a guest stomp on sheets and stay night and get her entire stay refunded. She had 2 past reviews. Airbnb isnt a good host partner.
