She was on the phone with her mum when she left, got into a taxi and was expected home 20 mins later. Instead she arrived at 5.30am. Muhammad Nasir, 40, has been waiting in his taxi outside the club. He had logged off from his taxi system so was not allowed to pick up passengers. He saw this young woman as prey and pretended to still be on duty. Instead of driving her home he went the opposite way to Chorlton where he raped her. Yesterday, Nasir, a father of three was found guilty by the court and sentenced to 12 years in prison and 4 years under licence in the community. So many of the taxi drivers in Manchester are Pakistani. They harass young women on a daily basis and have done for a long time. How many more women will be raped or assaulted before something is done?
