“The tenor of our times is permissiveness. Magazines and television shows portray the stars of the movie screen, the heroes of the athletic field—those whom many young people long to emulate—as disregarding the laws of God and flaunting sinful practices, seemingly with no ill effect. Don’t you believe it! There is a time of reckoning—even a balancing of the ledger. Every Cinderella has her midnight—if not in this life, then in the next. Judgment Day will come for all. … I plead with you to choose to obey.” Thomas S Monson The Blessings of Obedience.

@Alladdin1983 You let me know when you want to come visit. You can go to any congregation you want, but I’m also happy to answer questions all day long (as most other members of my church would be).

I was getting gas tonight when two young women approached me, inviting me to their church. I immediately asked their opinion on Charlie Kirk, and they were speechless. Why? Because it’s Denver, Colorado. Be brave and bold. Those women were Mormons. I took their Bible and, out of respect, will read it.

@TeeplesCY Very nice, people are not saying they are good parents and family oriented. Just that Morman theology is not Christianity. Why are Mormans not proud of that?

This Politico report says that the War Department is changing strategy to protect the US homeland and the Western Hemisphere rather than the entire world. If true, very good news. Pentagon plan prioritizes homeland over China threat politi.co/465VQOh via @politico

@jefe_tweets My opinion? The church wanted to get back to normal and playing along with gov’t mandates and the general worldwide mindset that the jab was good and Covid was a serious threat. I think we cowered a bit to social pressure. The brethren fit in the population at highest risk.

What is the Church's position on immunization? The Church supports voluntary (not govt forced) immunization and encourages members to consult with their doctors. What does immunization mean? It means becoming immune to a virus either through natural immunity or through a proven, safe vaccine. When I was a child we used to have "chicken pox sleepovers." One of the kids would get chicken pox, the neighbors would let everybody know, and all of the other kids would sleep over at the infected kid's house so they could get chicken pox when they were young and thereby be immunized. Many vaccines have been proven safe. My 18-year-old son is about to leave for his mission in Mexico, and we just got him the typhoid vaccine. We consulted with a doctor and did some research and determined the vax was worth getting. We did not get the COVID jab. It has not been around long enough to be proven safe, and the actual science (as opposed to the Big Pharma propaganda) shows that the health risks of the vax are higher than the benefits, especially for people who are not in high risk groups. I firmly believe that most people under 70 should not get the COVID vax. So why did the Church recommend it? I don't think we will ever know for sure. My instincts tell me the Church acted on reflex based on past support for vaccines and was intent on getting churches and temples reopened. I personally know a dozen people who have suffered serious side effects from the COVID vax, and a 40-year-old healthy friend of mine died of a heart attack while exercising just a few days after getting a booster. I feel very good that I did not get the COVID vax. I would remind readers that "have you gotten the latest vaccines?" is not a temple recommend question. The Church is filled with mysteries that do not affect my faith. Why can we drink diet drinks with caffeine but not tea or coffee? I take it on faith. Why does the WoW tell us to eat very little meat? I take it on faith. The Church urges us to learn and study and use our agency. I eat plenty of meat, and if Jesus were in front of me right now I could look at Him with a clear conscience, and I don't think He would call that a sin. I support RFK Jr's efforts to clean up the corrupt mess with our health system in DC. We need to understand if there is a connection between all of these vaccines and autism. How can it be safe to pump babies and kids with dozen of vaccines? I personally have my doubts. Let's see some fair studies done without the corrupting influence of Big Pharma. When these studies come out, the Church might make some subtle changes in vaccine guidance. Or it might not. I am OK either way.

Reminder that @Ch_JesusChrist has long supported immunization. These statements were issued by the First Presidency in 1978, 1985, and 2021. Take a moment to read them; they are very direct. (Especially the 1978 statement.)

@jefe_tweets As bad off we are after four years of Biden, we will be better off in 2028 this way. Let’s hope we can hold the Oval Office after that!

Every once in a while I like to remind my left-wing friends that if they had not stolen the election in 2020, Trump would not be in office right now.
