When I am talking about de facto console for third parties I am mainly talking about these around 10 games that make more revenue for PlayStation than all other games combined. I think it’s kinda crazy tbh.

Despite huge losses from Bungie, PlayStation still posted record profits for the quarter in their latest financial results. Due to becoming the near de facto platform for many third party console games and micro-transactions, even though they cancelled many live service games and the first party release cadence has slow downed, profits were still up 12% and PlayStation are making more money than ever.
