Had the pleasure of meeting @DaftLimmy at a recent charity event. He was surprisingly down to earth and actually VERY funny.

🇾🇪 950. Our largest away support in a generation. Thank you for every mile travelled, every ticket bought, every song sung, and every ounce of support you gave this team from the first whistle to the very end. We’ll never take it for granted ⚪️🔴⚫️ clydefc.co.uk/news/2026/05/t…

@JimmyKerr58 @acciesbook2010 @The_Thirty_ @AcciesColFc Tad harsh James, we rested several players and the ones playing would have one eye on Tuesday. Bookings/suspensions carry over into the play offs. No doubt EK deserved to win the league though.

Hamilton Accies have finished in the relegation playoff place. They’ll play Forfar in the semi final, and the winner will face the winner of Spartans vs Clyde for League One status next season. Cove and East Fife safe!

@G_mac777 @SPFLWatch Think we (Clyde) will be resting a few with the play-offs coming up on Tuesday and bookings counting towards suspensions so reckon EK will win the league

Imagine telling someone four years ago that Ross County and at least one of East Kilbride and Spartans would be playing each other in the league. That’s exactly what will be happening next season.

One club has played in five different tiers of the Scottish football pyramid and has moved through all leagues through sporting merit - (not elected, transferred, expelled etc.) Who are they?

@JnrCoxy @Ashleymuir4 @AlastairHu95717 @ClydeFC to proceed to the next stage of the application. Finnart subsequently withdrew from the redevelopment process. There were rumours of a local councillor with involvement at Finnart who may have had some sway in things, but as I say, rumours. No insider info, just a Clyde fan!

@JnrCoxy @Ashleymuir4 @AlastairHu95717 @ClydeFC With Alexandra Park, the council withdrew it from the People Make Glasgow Communities process which meant it was no longer available for community or third party ownership. With Crownpoint, the Foundation faced a bid from Finnart, who the council gave the green light to, 1/2

@Ashleymuir4 @AlastairHu95717 @JnrCoxy @ClydeFC Agreed Ashley, hard enough for grassroots teams to get pitches atm. Fingers crossed if this comes to pass that all community teams can continue to benefit from the facility. @ScottJWP @AlastairHu95717 @JnrCoxy @ClydeFC The council will need to make sure whoever takes over that the local teams don’t lose out .Teams like my sons who go to 11s in May, already hard to secure pitches for 9 aside at times. Will look out for the consultations and ask questions and hopefully get answers.

@Ashleymuir4 @AlastairHu95717 @JnrCoxy @ClydeFC with local schools, including ASN schools, holiday football camps, and they’re always looking to further their community outreach. I’ve seen their work first-hand through my job and they’re undoubtedly a good thing. The bonus for Clyde FC is it gives us a stadium to be based at.

@Ashleymuir4 @AlastairHu95717 @JnrCoxy @ClydeFC Agree the parking looks tight, would need to see what happens for that. For what it’s worth, it’s the Clyde Community Foundation (rather than Clyde FC) who would become the custodians. The foundation do a massive amount of charity work including community teams, partnerships 1/2

@Ashleymuir4 @AlastairHu95717 @JnrCoxy @ClydeFC I can’t answer all those questions as I’m only a fan, but it’s my understanding that ALL existing facilities will continue to be available to the community - both 11s pitches, and all of the 5 a-side pitches. I think the compact stadium would be built around the larger 11s pitch.

@AlastairHu95717 @JnrCoxy @ClydeFC If they build a stadium would be taking away pitches? Stepford is full during the week of kids grassroots teams training and at the weekend 5 , 7 , 9 and 11 aside games. Taking away pitch availability would leave many eastend kids teams struggling for pitches.

@SPFLWatch That's what the community needs is a professional club playing alongside. Restricting access to pitches for large amounts of youth teams. Not a chance this should go through.
