@RepoleStable @TheUFL What do you think the net-asset value of your UFL might be? Your best strategy is to partner with the NFL now to see which of 2 of these 8 markets generate sufficient interest for expansion and work towards an ABA->NBA deal. Try to avoid demanding a meeting in 48 hours.

@andyserling Yes, same guy - I went for the earlier (and perhaps lesser recognized) movie for him, Chicago. Cool trivia.

Good article about the one man show Small, which is coming to NYC soon. Its writer and star has a memorable small role in a very good movie. Anyone?

@andyserling OK - then I can disclose my answer. Wasn't the movie that included Robert Montano (as a male dancer) Chicago from 2002? You are thinking about another movie? Will need to look it up.

@andyserling That was the most gut-wrenching loss that I have had in an Aqueduct winter season of gut-wrenching losses. How many impossible bobs can run me down this meeting? I take solace that the USWNT Hockey won gold.

@andyserling Is charting dead? During the early betting on Race 2, there was ~$5000 in the double pool into Race 3. The 3-2 double (Antonio of Venice into Tiote) was 6-1. Yes, early but ~$650 bet into Tiote in the early wagering? Meanwhile, 37-1 in Race 3. Easy game?

@andyserling The early Pick-4 parlay was $1,111 for 50-cents. The actual payoff was $548.80 for 50-cents. Meanwhile, I pitched a perfect no-hitter.

@andyserling Keep digging and you will find Awesome Empire over Cocktailsnkringle in race 3. The "ride of the day" from today's third was Civaci's attempt to come 5-wide with favored Exploration. That was special.

I would have to go VERY deep to have the 6-1 exacta in the 2nd race!

@andyserling Deep? Like outer space deep? If Our Preferred Pal could not win in that MSW race with both Eagle Rising and Juliet on Approach not running more than four furlongs, when? If it helps, I had Tahila last time at 111-1 in the "big bet" fiasco.

@andyserling During the Winter 2025 season, you'll recall that I was a Savin Civaci cheerleader. Since his injury in November, he just looks tentative and that seems to be translating to his not getting into the right positions. That lack of aggression is costing him both mounts and wins.

I gave him a pass last time, but that was a dreadful mistake by Civaci not clearing when he had the chance with Tiger Twenty Four. Has he been paying any attention to our races the past seven racing days?

@andyserling The "other Rudy", Baron of Sealand, gets it done after the scratch of Leftembehind. Price at 9/2 was helped by the terribly overbet Curvino.

@andyserling Both Devine Leader (R6) and Leftembehind (R7) were among my interesting plays of the day while Purple and Gold (R5) was my bet-against - talk about three scratches changing the shape of those races for me.

@andyserling @jockeyfranco When was the last time we saw seven furlongs in 1:30 2/5 on the NYRA Circuit? (Seriously, I have no idea of the answer on this one.)

Make that 6 wins for @jockeyfranco as they flew up front and the race collapsed enough late for Hot Gossip to get up

@andyserling Like you, I liked Jackson Heights, but in retrospect, wasn't the 5-1 on Aggregation better value than ours at 9/2? Honestly, Aggregation is the kind of all-or-nothing horse that I just rarely can stomach.

The inside bias is so strong that it carried Aggregation home. 5:1 was a steal if you simply want to be the clear inside speed

@ScottMJeffreys @mig4450 It was the Riva Ridge ( now Woody Stephens ). Don’t remember who rode, but do think Kiaran trained Egg Head.

@andyserling @mig4450 Trivia Question - Lost in the Fog crossed the country 5 times in 2005 leading up to his first loss in the BC Sprint. In every race, he was ridden by Russell Baze except one. What was that race and who rode him? (Hint : Richie finished second on Egg Head.)

@andyserling Agreed. Prince Valiant was empty last start in the closing panel and here jumped to 7f with a closing eighth in 12.62. As for Moe Eighty Eight, moving up in class and running from dead last on this track was not a 1:5 winning formula.

@andyserling It just dawned on me that today is the start of the new stricter rules on CAW activity. Is it possible that this bet came via a "test" and could not be backed out of the pool once entered?

@andyserling There is no way that this was an innocent play. One would have had to have access to $150,000 ready to bet in an account or in cash at the track. If you are right about an off-shore score, the "dirty" part of this play was that "they" knew the horse would lose.

Only two explanations I can think of...bet the wrong number or screwed the off shores
