Y’all have argued with me for over a decade. Meanwhile gap to gap hitting and a solid 2-strike approach continued to produce 8-10 runs a game. Maybe people will start listening to the coaches on the field who win games and not the guys who make money off your kid.

Love this. It’s being reposted quite a bit so I’ll join in. A lot being said in just under 2 minutes. Several takeaways, but one for me is cage bombs and constant pull side training does NOT get you better in real time.

@saniyafatma1278 No. That is the parents. The school system is there to teach your kids reading, writing, arithmatic, science, technology and other subjects to enhance their knowlege of the world. Basic discipline and morals should be taught in the home before they get to school.

This isn’t it. Let’s teach our kids humility because it will take them a whole lot further than ego ever will. Celebrating is one thing. Disrespecting opponents and the game is another. Youth sports used to be about development, fundamentals, and learning life lessons. Now it feels like it’s about attention, hype, and who has the best highlight video. We don’t need videographers following kids around we need adults reminding them who they are when the spotlight’s off. Character > clout
Danny Kanell@dannykanell

The coaches and parents who allow this to go on are the problem. Instead of teaching kids how to play the game the right way and show respect for the opponent they’re worried about getting viral attention. Embarrassing.

So much wrong with this: - Helmet cam - Bat Spike - Cameras following batter around the bases? - Props on the field to dunk after a homer? Lord help this generation when they get to higher levels. They’re fucked.

@Seth_3773 It's sad that sportsmanship is not an expectation any more. This is showboating and a disgusting display of disrespect to the game and to the other team. In-game celebrations should never be okay. Play the game. Celebrate when its over. Nothing about this is appropriate.

Okay, someone tell me why this is okay? What’s the benefit to this? Then on the other hand tell me why we shouldn’t allow this? Let’s hear both sides….

@CoachLisle This is simply disgusting. How stupid do they look if they lose this game. Show some respect to the game and to the other team. Camera guys following around the bases? A GoPro on the helmet? It's no wonder there is such a problem with youth sports.

@timtrainor5 First, treat the game with respect. Slamming the bat down is ridiculous. The Nerf basketball celebration is completely unecessary. Show some respect to the game and the other team. Those two things look stupid, especially if you end up losing.
