🚨Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou had admitted that he can’t believe seeing Spurs in a relegation battle:
🗣️"Anyone that said Spurs would be in this situation even two months ago, you'd call them crazy".

@HotspurEdition As soon as the second half started I thought Archie Gray took the game on. Some great passes, turning upfield and big challenges. Genuine courage.
🚨🚨𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆! | Tottenham Hotspur are understood to be ‘𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀 𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐄’ £25M bid for West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville.
🇫🇷The move would enable Mathys Tel to move on loan to Paris FC.

@SimonTBadger@ChrisCowlin I also understand what you're saying on both points but given the point we're at where every aspect of the club hates each other where is there to go? This is worse than the late 90s. We're pre-Jol right now.
@ScottSpurs77@ChrisCowlin I get the sentiment Scott, but 5 years at spurs is enough for most managers. I also think bringing him back is a bad idea too. 2nd comings of managers are never as good.
@SimonTBadger@ChrisCowlin I'm not saying we were on the up, it was clear after the CL final everyone at the club was 'hungover'. A smart club would have recognised a cycle for the team had ended and started a new one. Ditching Poch wasn't needed in my opinion, it was time for part two to begin.
@ChrisCowlin Exactly this. If they're not interested in making more of the club then move on. They don't need the money. I wonder what the aim is. Do they think we are a third tier club like Bournemouth, a second tier club like Dortmund or a top tier like Barca. Who are we supposed to be.
The Romero comments feel like another Conte moment and we've been here a fair few times before...
How many times is this going to happen? They can't sack the captain or indeed players who are supporting what Cuti has said (Porro and Richarlison)...
We need real CHANGE at the football club - the owners need to either show ambition on the pitch or sell the club, for new owners to take the club to the next level, otherwise we are going to fall even further behind... extremely sad times right now, the fanbase deserve so much better. So much disconnect throughout. Things need to improve, and fast!

@Spelt_D_o_n_a_l@mitch_fretton We desperately need someone like him. The reason everything looks so bad in the middle is we literally have nobody like Modric or Dembele who can take the ball from the defenders and turn up the field, take on a man or play a forward pass.
@ScottSpurs77@mitch_fretton Would Modric want to come back? He played for Harry Redknapp’s Spurs. This is a different team.
I could see him slotting into an Ange or Poch team, is the thing.
Do you know how damning this reading is? This is probably the most depressing thing my eyes have come across when it comes to Frankball, why are our midfielders being stopped from playing forwards?!
@Spelt_D_o_n_a_l@mitch_fretton I see this as a problem too (that he plays so much) but also don't see the others as a solution either. A replacement in this position would be my top priority. I would have taken a chance and got Modric back.
@ScottSpurs77@mitch_fretton If Bentancur was the problem, Frank should drop him and pick Gray and Bergvall (and Sarr outside AFCON)
But Frank keeps picking Bentancur every week, and leaving him in for 90, because he’s doing exactly what Frank wants him to do.
2 things can be true at once:
1. Squad still clearly miles off it. Can’t really use injuries as an excuse as every team has had to deal with them this season.
2. Manager isn’t good enough. It felt betterrr first half but that’s mainly because we had better profiles across the pitch (i.e Odobert 10, a left footed LB, more natural LW etc). But the overall plan just doesn’t seem right. Settling for 0-0 and 1-0’s. Lack of basic triangle football etc
@Santiagchimiami@JackPittBrooke@EliasBurke Yes, I agree. Richy might be Tottenham's worst ever signing, Tel is a crazy signing. Odobert could be good but lacks confidence (also not a striker) but he has time.
@ScottSpurs77@JackPittBrooke@EliasBurke I’ve seen him play and score many goals including a game winner for the only trophy in years. Find a better proven goal scorer for $30M. That’s a good deal. Crystal Palace are smart. Tottenham paid $60M for Richy and $30M for Tell and Odobert who both don’t produce.
@Santiagchimiami@JackPittBrooke@EliasBurke Have you ever watched him play. I'll concede based on statistics I am wrong but I've seen enough football players to know he is not a top class PL player. Look at the stats for Richy this season, crushing it but he's rubbish. Johnson will be mediocre at Palace.
@ScottSpurs77@JackPittBrooke@EliasBurke 17 goals and 5 assists last year. So he was scoring AND assisting. So you are wrong. A scoring forward is more valuable no matter where they play. Wingers like Saka, Son, Salah are not getting paid to “supply”. Priority is to score goals. Always.
@ScottSpurs77@JackPittBrooke@EliasBurke All forwards need service. Spurs have none. A very few generational talents don’t but even a player like Ronaldo has benefited from working with great midfielders as a finisher. Johnson finishes better than most.
@Santiagchimiami@JackPittBrooke@EliasBurke Agree, it is a skill and Johnson manages this but offers nothing else. In my opinion he offers little and I think we need better than him. He would not get picked up by any of the current top 5.
@ScottSpurs77@JackPittBrooke@EliasBurke Goals don’t mean great play?? The whole point of the game is to score goals! Very few players can put the ball in the back of the net. Even the “easy” goals require you to be in the right place at the right time. That’s a skill.
@jonhotspur1988@vkon1 Complete hubris. Levy stumbled upon a near-perfect team and a coach who clicked, then assumed he was the reason it all came together-and that he could repeat it. Unfortunately, Daniel got lucky once in his Spurs lifetime and wasn’t smart enough to realise it.
A reminder that 6 years ago while Tottenham Hotspur were in a Champions League final, Aston Villa were in a Championship play-off final.
I know I’m a broken record but the mismanagement of our football club, particularly from the mid 2010s, has been absolutely shocking.
@bipolar_thfc He slows it down every week mate. He can’t take it on the run. Only uses Porro as a decoy. Needs a standing start to take on a man. He kills every attack worse than what you think Son used to do.
