My predictions for the 2026 Tigers 🐯 Record: 92-70 AL Central Champs Best Hitter: Spencer Torkelson Best Pitcher: Tarik Skubal Team ROY/Newbie: Kevin McGonigle Comeback Player: Parker Meadows Predictions: - Jahmai Jones & Jake(y) Rogers get released during the season (sorry Mark!) - Kenley Jansen gets 35 saves - Tigers bullpen depth and performance will be a team strength - Jackson Jobe makes meaningful appearances in September - Max Clark is up by the All-Star break. - In addition, Max Anderson, Jace Jung, Eduardo Valencia & Trei Cruz all put insane pressure on Harris to replace underperforming veterans like Vierling, Rogers, McKinstry, Jones & Baez. - Mudhens lead all AAA in wins - Keider Montero, SGL & Wenceel Perez do the Detroit-Toledo shuttle all season. - Spencer Torkelson hits 40 HRs, .250 BA - Riley cuts Ks to 150 - Something with Casey Mize finally clicks after a rough start and becomes a solid #3 starter behind Skubal and Valdez - passing Flaherty in the process. - By July, a now healthy Troy Melton becomes that high leverage/high K/9 shutdown reliever the team has been lacking. - Scott Harris FINALLY makes a significant trade for a big veteran bat before the Trade Deadline and will trade away some of the team’s vaunted prospect depth to do so (it will hurt). - The young wave of great (but cocky) position players will rub some of the older and underperforming veterans (prompting the trade/release of some of the vets) the wrong way but it will bring the team together with their infectious enthusiasm, flare and clutch performances - Bryce Rainer breaks out and makes it to AA Erie by August. One really BOLD prediction: Detroit Tigers vs. Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2026 World Series. Tigers WIN in 6 games - shocking the overpaid & pompus Dodgers! 🏆😝 Tarik wins his 3rd Cy Young in a row Tork & Riley get downballot MVP votes McGonigle wins AL ROY AJ loses Manager of the Year to the Orioles Craig Alberanz
