The two men’s lawyer argued that the victim appeared “tired, not distressed” in the CCTV footage. “Not someone who’s been brutally sexually assaulted by two persons” The judge ultimately agreed. Al-Athmany was found not guilty in the NSW District Court in a judge alone trial.

I'm wondering at what point the misinformation from the Australia institute will be called out by other thinktanks, media, etc. Here they make the claim that Japan raises more tax from gas than Australia does, while completely ignoring the tens of billions paid in state royalties, company taxes, worker income taxes, domestic spending... The go on to repeat that Australia raises more public revenue from student loans than from the PRRT. I'd appreciate if somebody can explain how a loan repayment is revenue. These fanatics are consistently wrong, consistently repeated and their primary goal is to shut down the gas industry. Is there any possibility the Australia institute receives funding from overseas interests that oppose our best interests?

@MarkDiStef Check taxes and royalties paid by all extractive industries in Australia and I’m sure will find that they pay around $74 b PA as advertised. 25% of all the shares on the ASX are owned by superfunds so indirectly Australia benefits hugely. Cant tax your way to prosperity
