I started #FFXIV as a DPS, then moved to Tank in ShB.
I've always been a little anxious about playing a healer though.
With the time before Evercold, I've decided that I'm gonna give healing a go properly for the first time!

You are literally the reason why healers can’t get real rotations in this game. Cause pressing 4 buttons is too hard for you

@citrusazu Do you know how many deaths people suffer before clearing content? A ton. My first FRU clear was over 900 pulls. That’s at least 900 deaths. You will die, you will need help. That’s okay, and most importantly, ignore the haters.

I've always wanted to try doing mount farm and raiding for current tiers instead of doing it unsync.
But PF is scary and I feel shy to do them with friends from FF. Because what if I suck so bad and they tell our other friends and know I'm known as that one friend who suck so much at raids and shouldn't be invited and will ruin the runs and and and-

SMOLDER FINALLY HAS A GOOD RUNE THIS SEASON
Smolder is literally one of the best users of Deathfire Touch since he has an unmissable single target ability and a ton of easy to land AOE splash damage
ALSO he's able to build black cleaver which has an insanely broken interaction with this rune letting you stack the cleave really fast and keep up the +20ms almost permanently
Anyways here's his best build now into pretty much any team that isnt 5 ranged champs -
Essence Reaver > Black Cleaver > Shojin > Pick 3 - Deaths Dance | Maw | Overlords Bloodmail | Endless Hunger | Hullbreaker | RFC
DFT, Nimbus Cloak, Celerity, Gathering, Magical Footwear, Jack of all Trades

@Naki__Nyaki Yesss, preach! I almost quit twice having to catch up just during shadowbringer. It wasn’t fun, especially being interrupted for CS every 10 mins. Story isn’t for everyone, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the rest of the game!

A bit of an opinion cz I’ve seen a lot of MSQ skipping: as a person who skipped entirely of ARE just to get to endgame (HW) and skipped some part of MSQ cz it was getting boring, just let people play how they want to play.

Every time someone skips the MSQ to "play with their friends" end up realizing that catching up won't be making your friends play more with you.
But wanna know what will make them play with you? Asking them to tag along for the MSQ.

It’s 2026, we are gonna be 6 expansions deep into FFXIV soon. Can we stop with the weird gatekeepy behavior if someone doesn’t want to play through 250 hours of story to be able to play some of the best MMO raid encounters ever made? Heaven forbid someone asks you a small lore question if they start getting interested in the story after starting the game 10 years late. Are we really gonna keep driving people away with this weird NIMBY ritual? Just use your social skills (lol) and answer the small question, suggest they start a story alt on their downtime, or direct them to a synopsis video on YouTube. Crying about “story skippers” this deep into a game’s development cycle is peak cringe. If they set up a skip to Dawntrail for new characters to jump into the new story arc I and many others feel like it would be beneficial for the game’s long term health. While the Hydaelyn/Zodiark arc is great storytelling it’s also not a sacred cow for people to clutch pearls over. At the end of the day, it’s a game to be played. We’re all better than this and should start acting like it.

@LuluGamingDK @sadie_sassafras The story did end, with Endwalker. We got a new one with Dawntrail, and now another new one. So yes, the story has been finished. At least twice.

@sadie_sassafras Considering that the story has never been finished, it's not just a one and done. The issue has more to do with people.Rushing thinking that endgame is the only part of the game. Your first time experiencing the story is something you can never get back.And endgame spoils it.

It’s not a problem. The problem is story enjoyers demanding we all enjoy story regardless of how different we are.
