@Generalbac0n@internett_baby This entire take is inherently misogynistic anyway. Why are we focusing so hard on punishing women as if they had it so much better in this patriarchal society?
If a man pays child support, and finds out later the child isn't even his, the mother should have to pay all of it back no ifs, ands, or buts. People arguing against this are wild.
@internett_baby That creates unnecessary burden on the mother and child for a mistake that could have been solved quickly. I agree with the other comment that rather than taking money from the kid and mother, take it from the actual father.
My dad called periods disgusting.
My little brother shut him down in one sentence.
My brother asked me what periods were like because one of his friends had just gotten hers and he didn’t want to make it awkward for her.
So I explained it.
Cramps, hormones, chocolate, the basics.
From the other room, my dad yelled,
“Stop talking about that disgusting shit. Men don’t need to know women’s business.”
Before I could say anything, my little brother looked at him and said,
“No wonder mom left you.”
Silence.
My dad turned around and walked out like he’d just been unplugged.
Then my brother looked back at me and went,
So… chocolate, right?
@symplytheo@tufdave Dads know their daughters. My sister had her first divorce and everyone knew whose fault it was. It's just one of those things.
In fact, I am surprised he stayed with her for as long as he did.
