These materials reinforce key skills across ELA and math, and today we are also sharing Fine Arts learning packets to encourage creativity and enrichment while students are at home. This year marks 100 years of celebrating Black history, a tradition that began in 1926 when Dr. Carter G. Woodson founded Negro History Week — a time set aside to honor the contributions and history of African Americans. Let us remember that history is still unfolding across MSCS, where students and staff are contributing to it in their own ways. REMINDER: Students will be out of school on Monday, November 24, through Friday, November 28, for Thanksgiving Break. Additionally, in observance of Thanksgiving Day, all District offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 27 and 28. We will reopen on Monday, December 1.
