There is a scene in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey in which you can actually see Matt Damon cringing out of his skin at Page's atrocious acting as it is happening. Damon himself delivers lines of dialogue in the most wooden and uninspired way I have seen in a serious film.

Here’s the thing about The Odyssey: it’s my favorite Christopher Nolan film in quite some time and I genuinely think it deserves most of the praise it’s getting. That said, it’s far from a perfect film. It’s a flawed one with several issues that are impossible to ignore including the pacing, some wasted casting, and story arcs. What’s fascinating, though, is that the highs are so unbelievably high that they more than compensate for many of its weaker elements. I’m planning to post my full review at some point tomorrow. It will be a lengthy one with plenty of criticism because there’s a lot to unpack. Even so, I still think it’s a damn good movie and, without a shadow of a doubt, Nolan’s best film in over a decade. For me, it’s significantly better than both Oppenheimer and Tenet. This will be a massive awards player with nominations expected in almost every below the line category plus Best Picture, Director and a handful of acting nominations. #TheOdyssey

My review of Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey": Rushed overall, terrible opening monologue, Elliot Page sucks, the scenes are goofy as hell. Walked out during the cyclops scene.
