On recommendation from @pacificjimmy I picked up this book about the war in the Pacific. On the first page he describes how a New Guinea tribesman became obsessed with wanting to parachute from a plane, so some airmen took him up one day on a lark and shoved him out of the door.

War is serious business but it’s important to also have fun.
