@adam_greenblatt We are both- we own the farm but also plant and harvest all our own crops. Cannabis was supposed to help support our small organic farm. So far, it doesn't.

@MarcusHWeber Nobody’s holding anyone hostage 🙄 The whole basis of job action is to disrupt, and sadly that includes all downstream. Anyone with any forethought beyond their own 6 feet could have seen this coming, and prepared. 33,000 shouldn’t be held hostage due to poor planning

The BCLDB called to tell me DD was on hold. I suggested if they have staff to make calls, they have staff to issue my f$&#ing DD SKU. He said the hold was to protect me from BCGEU escalation. WTF? Come picket my farm, just give us SKUs!

@eaoliver @ms_janeen_davis I'm trying!! It is not just my business involved though. Everyone involved needs to decide if the risk is worth it.

@ms_janeen_davis @SeadogFarm I recall them stating that they were not the gatekeepers of what SKUs get approved for DD, so one has a reasonable expectation that their well-formed SKU will be approved. Do the delivery!

So BCLDB won't issue DD SKUs due to the strike. I am approved for DD, even though the SKU hasn't been issued. It isn't against HC or CRA regs to deliver so what could BC possibly do if we all kept records and delivered to stores? Might be fun for a change!

@CanadaUww How do you figure? When DD is fully operational, no BCLDB member will be involved in any transaction. Only the processor and the retail store will be involved.

@drowbb I think the LDB is totally full of shit on this one. HC does not allow cultivators to store finished product. Speaking from experience.

LDB is now saying that the cultivator will be able store product on site for shipping to retailers, not only the processor.

Cultivator, processor, and production registration for BC's direct delivery program is open now (program launches Aug 15)

We will absolutely do direct to retailer when that comes in this summer though. To sell from our farm stand we would have to have 3 HC licenses a 10 million bond for CRA plus insurance through roof. I'd rather support my local independent retailers and stick to farming.
