@Seagate customer service so far: No response here to my post. Contact page broken (chat). Create account, ask for replacements, get RMA. I’m now out $35 for shipping, and will likely have to wait weeks again for replacements to arrive. They will send me “refurbished” units - for 9-day old drives. Array can’t rebuild, will have to spend even more time setting the unit back up again. I don’t think they quite understand the flaming glow of hatred emanating from me, and many other retail customers, right now. Your AI boondoggle will eventually end. What are you going to do then? Burning your bridges is not a sustainable business model.

Got an Asustor, 4x @Seagate 4tb Ironwolf, ordered Feb 4th - last one arrived Mar 7th. Set up RAID 5. Now - 9 days later NAS goes offline, making some buzzing. Reboot, can hear one of the drives struggling to spin up, volume error. Get to admin Drive 1: OK Drive 2: -missing- Drive 3: Smart error Drive 4: Smart error All setup time, data transfer time, gone. In 9 days. I ran the NAS for a month on an old 500gb drive while waiting on the “NAS” drives - with ZERO problems. I’ve got an old NAS w/2tb WD Greens and three of the drives are > 10 years old. @Seagate you’ve got a serious issue.

Don’t buy @Seagate hard drive! I purchased a 12 TB drive to replace an 8 TB drive on Nov 7, 2025 from @Walmart. It failed with all my client files on it in mid Jan. Seagate is telling me the warranty expired in 2019 and I need an invoice from Walmart in order to do anything.

@Seagate seems to be giving faulty HDDs on their external HDDs. This drive is about 4 years old. Kept in shelf. Less than 100 hours runtime. Crystaldisk shows bad sectors. Ran it via SATA interface as the USB won't show smart. It's not in warranty but sad to see this quality
