@DaveKluge They won't be expecting the rookie to start. Wilson/Holani will be competing for early snaps. They're going to shoot for upside at RB in the draft. If he ends up providing significant snaps as a rookie, it's a bonus.

A rookie RB in Seattle would be “fun” but I’m not sure how it would work. Seattle only has four draft picks. They also need someone who can take the reins as Zach Charbonnet rehabs. A rookie can’t be expected to start Week 1. Brian Robinson Jr. or Najee Harris, however…

At first, B… but I’m taking A. That initial pop from B is real explosion and hand size ... Incredible! But, in my opinion, in a zone-heavy system, movement, speed, and consistency matter more. A’s speed, strength (34 bench), and complete profile translate much better to what Seattle needs... A is the fit.

NFL Draft thought experiment: Both of these OG prospects are 24 years old - They are both available to compete to be the #Seahawks 2026 RG if they so wish. Based on athletic profile, which one would you prefer?

The risk of investing significant resources in a back, in a RB-friendly system, is also high don't you think? If you trade for Achane and he gets hurt? I think they're going to attack it with bulk and upside and see who shakes out. I'm really not worried.... at least not yet. I think they bought themselves some floor with Wilson. At worst he's going to be a physical grinder who gets you the tough early-down yards to keep drives moving.

Seattle is betting on system over certainty… and that comes with risk. They’re betting the scheme elevates the RB. They’re betting someone from the group emerges. They’re betting time (camp + reps) figures it out. Hopefully those 6 months bring more clarity… but the risk early on is still real.

@SeahawksForever Hola Dan ...  curious your take here. Should we be concerned at all about the run game early in the season? With Charbonnet recovering and Wilson carrying the load, it feels a bit thin if anything goes wrong. What I find interesting is the potential shift with Fleury vs Kubiak  (SF ~45% two-back personnel last year vs 24% under Kubiak). If that jumps, Ouzts suddenly becomes a central piece, not just a role player. Do you think this is part of a bigger plan ... more 21 personnel, more interchangeable backfield usage, almost making the RB position more “system-driven” than talent-driven? Or do you still expect Seattle to add another RB (draft or late FA) to stabilize the room? Just trying to understand if this is by design… or a real risk early on.

@MCoronado_18 At this stage I just don't think he gives you anything more than they can expect from someone like Wilson. The high-end return just isn't there. They have enough right now, or will once they add another one in the draft.

@SeahawksForever Dan what’s your opinion on an incentive based contract starting at the vet minimum for Joe Mixon just to come in and compete and see if he is healthy? His 2024 season he went for over a thousand and double digit TDs.

@SeahawksForever Thoughts on drafting someone like a Keldric Faulk at 32 and groom him to be the Leonard Williams replacement. Elite Run defender, but a lot to be desired as an edge. So possibly slide him inside as the Big Cat successor.

With the Seahawks re-signing WR Cody White today, the book is basically closed on their free agents. All 18 of the non-practice-squad players who were some form of FA are now accounted for. Thirteen either re-signed with Seattle or received tenders, and five signed elsewhere.

Whoa!!!!! @PFSN365 just dropped a MASSIVE update to their draft profile in the mock sim. This is a game-changer. Other sims overtook them the last couple years IMO but they have added some features this year that put them squarely back on top.
