2/2: All because I questioned the timing of a march during a Saturday lunchtime trade. Give it a rest. My business has probably raised £12000 over eleven years for charity, paid ten times that through tax at least. Given people their first job into other employment. #Crowborough

1/2: If this is what happens when you keep a small business going during a pandemic. Take on a bounce back loan. Run a business with some whack Covid rules, keep employing people followed by an energy crisis, cost of living and then get started on by the far right.

33,000 Hospitality businesses closed since the amazing @RachelReevesMP made her 1st budget. Thats 33,000 places that employed people and helped pay taxes. The industry needs a VAT cut now. There will be more businesses to employ and pay taxes

6 yrs ago hospitality closed their doors, many never reopened, lots still carry debt from ‘bounce back’ loans. I’d argue that the energy crisis that followed was worse than Covid as no support was given. You can understand why businesses are now hugely concerned about energy.
