@SeanCaps9@capsf1sh There's also Gabriel Slonina who debuted for us when he was 18, he's at Chelsea now but they loan him out every year pretty much. Could still develop though since he's only 22. Anything is better than what we've had since Howard left.
A silent man, a hundred years ago, warning a wealthy nation that the money was downstream of the idea and would follow it out the door if the idea died. Read it this week; it runs maybe twenty minutes.
Happy 250th. 🇺🇸 /16
About 100 years ago, on July 5, 1926, the least talkative president in American history stood up in Philadelphia and gave what I'd argue is the best speech anyone has ever given about the Declaration of Independence. Not many read it anymore. The 250th seems like a good time to fix that. /1
Is it safe to say that after years of VAR and offsides review it was better to just have the refs miss the occasional offsides than have plays no one would notice without a replay get called back for being a millimeter over a line every 20 minutes?
I think a lot of people forget how had the Capitals path to the cup was
Their first round opponent had prime Sergei Bobrovsky who just came off a vezina winning season the year before
Their second round opponent was Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin who just won back to back cups
Their third round opponent was Nikita Kucherov and Andrei Vasilevskiy who finished 3rd in the league
Then they had to play the best expansion team of all time in the finals who just finished 5th in the league
I want to make it clear I don't hate Nathan MacKinnon, but I'm just pointing out the fact that Ovechkin got so much unnecessary hate for his team's playoff futility compared to other superstar players that came after him. Even after he won a Cup they still criticized him more.
The Caps traded Filip Forsberg for Martin Erat in 2013.
The Caps won the Stanley Cup in 2018.
The Predators have never won a Stanley Cup.
The Caps won the trade.
@capstrav1s If you had a nickel Mike Green would ask to borrow it, immediately mishandle it, and Theodore or Varlamov would let it squeak by them as it rolled into the gutter
Montreal’s Game 7 strategy of letting their Czech/Slovak goaltender get shelled while barely getting any shots for themselves may sound crazy but it objectively seems to be working for them
