The girl returns to her father & said: "The pawn shop offered $1,000 dollars because it's a very old car & a lot of work done". The father told her to join a passionate car club with experts & show them the car. The girl drove to the passionate car club. She returned to her father after a few hours & told him, “Some people in the club offered me $100k because its a rare car that's in good condition.” Then the father said, "I wanted to let you know that you are not worth anything if you are not in the right place. If you are not appreciated, do not be angry, that means you are in the wrong place. Don't stay in a place where no one sees your value ." The moral of the story : Know your worth and know where you are valued. A diamond doesn't shine on the bottom of a cave.

True engagement in the Coach-Team relationship begins when we all understand that not only is the Team the Coach’s responsibility; the Coach is the Team’s responsibility. The relationship only works when we work on the relationship.

When you pass the ball you are not giving away responsibility, you are accepting it. You are making a decision to create advantage for the Team by giving the right pass to the right person at the right moment. Make your pass make a winning difference.

We know if we take short cuts in preparation we can’t learn to go the distance in the arena. We know that taking the easy way is no preparation for facing the hard way in the arena. So we don’t Just do the hard yards; we do hard yards plus. That’s why we win

As coaches we are not there to make a decision for the athlete nor to give them a solution. We prepare athletes to learn from the experiences we create in training and from the arena itself, to make their own decisions and create their own solutions.

When there are tough moments in the arena, winners control emotions and emotions control losers.

There is no point in talking systems and tactics if the basic skills are not consistently brilliant in their execution and robust under pressure in the arena. So we put basics first, constantly practicing them, then putting them under pressure in training
