Safe's quarterly report is live. TLDR; Safe put up a record quarter in a market most people called bearish. → $6.8B in stablecoins secured in Safe, roughly 2% of global stablecoin supply. → 61.1M smart accounts now deployed, with 2.21M net new in Q1 alone. → 50.9M transactions in March, our biggest month yet. Read all about it ↓ safefoundation.org/reports/q1-2026

Warnings are useful. Enforcement is better. Safenet brings validator-backed, onchain transaction security to @safe and gives $SAFE a direct role in bootstrapping the network.

Agreed. SafeNet will fill a major gap in the market - a co-signer on every wallet that can stop bad stuff before it happens.

For JP, the most important announcement from EthCC wasn't Aave V4 or the Ethereum Economic Zone. It was Safenet — and the reason starts with $3.4 BILLION in crypto theft in 2025. Bybit’s hack saw $1.5B gone because attackers compromised the UI and signers approved the fraud themselves. The industry built better warnings (simulation tools, banners, previews) but when the interface is compromised, warnings are worthless. Because the main attack surface in 2026 isn't code. It's people. Safenet moves the security check INTO the execution path: > Before any Safe transaction executes, a decentralized network of validators checks it against a set of security rules. If it doesn't pass, it doesn't go through. > At launch, there are five rules: each one designed to block the specific types of vulnerabilities that made the Bybit hack possible. > Six founding validators (incl. Gnosis, Blockchain Capital, and Safe Labs) each stake a minimum of 3.5M SAFE to participate. The system is designed to function correctly even if some validators act dishonestly, and all activity is publicly auditable. > Users keep full control of their funds. If a transaction gets flagged, the wallet owner can still override it manually after a waiting period. > For an industry hemorrhaging billions to hackers, this is the upgrade we needed. Worth a full read.

Safenet checks for unexpected delegatecalls (delegatecalls that are not multisend/batching tx's) to prevent attack vectors like swapping a wallet's ownership policy with a malicious contract. In terms of the tx process, the Safenet guard would prevent the tx being executed by the signers (even after the signers try to execute), as the validator checks (usage of delegatecall) would not pass. This is not a "magic bullet" check but another layer of security which is needed. You can find our initial Beta's checks here - #transaction-checks" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">docs.safefoundation.org/safenet/overvi…

Thanks for the clear and concise outline @Web3zy! Your note on thinking about @safe-net in terms of whether it can prevent a Bybit type hack is an interesting exercise. At what point of the transaction process would Safenet prevent a Bybit type hack (Where the frontend is showing bad info)? It seems an app could submit real (malicious) data to Safenet while showing bad info in the frontend. Safenet would need to know the info that is being shown on the frontend too. A potential solution could be to "pre-register" info with Safenet so that way Safenet knows what some of the expected addresses, contracts, and actions to enforce are. I still need to read through the forum post and Safe article to learn more.

Unfortunately we still see large-scale hacks and loss of funds on a regular basis. Multisig alone is not enough. UI warnings help but can be easily circumvented. So we've built something new. A protocol that enforces security checks onchain. 🧵 1/6

$20B lost to hacks since 2017. Self-custody has been under relentless attack. As an industry, we need to level up defences. 🔊 Today, we introduce Safenet Beta🔰 A defence protocol for self-custody, powered by the $SAFE token. Onchain enforcement of security can protect users in ways that warnings simply cannot. Safenet is designed to protect users EVEN IF THEY SIGN BY MISTAKE 🧵

Huge losses need to stop! And I am convinced there are no "magic bullet" solutions, just adding layers and layers of security. SAFENET will become such an additional layer that does perform independent checks, even after the user signed (and potentially made a mistake).

38M+ people use Safe smart accounts through @useworldapp more than any other application in Crypto. Today, @safefndn and @worldcoinfnd are deepening that alignment with a 5-year token swap, the first partnership in our new Ecosystem Alignment Program. Self-custody at scale isn’t coming; it is already here. $SAFE x $WLD

Multisig transactions are often exposed in public queues, which can be front-run for profit. John Ennis, R&D at @safe, will speak at DSS on “Stopping Multisig MEV with Harbour”, introducing an end-to-end encrypted queue that prevents multisig extractable value.

Right now, the assumption is that one of the signers will execute the safe transaction. If you want to work with relayers, you can either encrypt the Safe transaction from the beginning with an additional relayer public key (so the other signers and the related can decrypt the Safe transaction), or one of the signers reveals the fully signed Safe transaction to the relayer.

Introducing Safe Ventures: Backing winning teams that accelerate self-custody Self-custody isn't just important for crypto's future—it's the only path forward. Without it, we're just rebuilding traditional finance with extra steps. We believe self-custody at scale is inevitable, and we're backing exceptional founders that will make it happen.

📣 MAJOR NEWS: @safefndn and @circle are partnering to accelerate @USDC adoption on Safe smart accounts and establish @safe as the institutional standard for self-custody & DeFi 🟢 Over $57 billion in USDC has moved through Safe since 2023. In the past 18 months, institutional demand, amplified by regulatory clarity has driven explosive growth in USDC on Safe. 🟢 USDC transfer volumes through Safe have nearly tripled, climbing from $1.5 billion monthly in early 2024 to $4.1 billion in September 2025. With $25.3 billion in USDC transfers through September, Safe is on track to nearly double its 2024 full-year volume ($18.3B). 🟢 Safe now secures $2.5 billion in USDC and has crossed $1T+ in total transaction volume, establishing itself as battle-tested infrastructure of choice for institutional stablecoin operations. This partnership builds on that explosive growth. Accelerate
